For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac, which you need a license to use. You can get it at his store, here.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Sounds of the Sea by Stargazer's Musings which you can find here.

Font of choice, I am using Bickham Script Fancy 2

Mask: Becky Mask 22. I can't find her site anymore, so I can't supply a link. If you have it, use that one, or just choose another mask you like.

Plugins: No outside plugins

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 pixels, white background.

Open frame 3, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%. Click inside it with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, between the white background and frame. Selections invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if necessary, arrange it how you want & duplicate. Drag one above your frame and hide it. Drag the other below your frame, take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang below your frame. Deselect, add a drop shadow to the tube and frame.

Add elements:

Clock 1, resize by 30%, rotate to right by 20, add to the top left of frame, add drop shadow.

Sand1, resize by 90%, arrange along bottom of the frame

Beach Chair 1, resize by 50%, arrange on the bottom right, add drop shadow

Beach umbrella, resize by 40%, arrange on the right side, above the beach chair, add drop shadow and drag this layer below the beach chair layer in your layer palette

Decorative net 1, resize by 55%, rotate right by 55, arrange along bottom of frame

Grass 1, resize by 40%, arrange on left side, duplicate, pull copy slightly right, duplicate, resize by 65%, pull that copy slightly right., Drag below the net layer

Coral 1, resize by 40%, arrange to the left, drag below the net layer but above the grass layer. Add drop shadow.

Bird 2, resize by 25%, mirror, arrange on left side, add drop shadow.

Bottle, resize by 25%, arrange on bottom left.

Seashell 6, resize by 15%, add drop shadow, arrange on bottom left.

Seashell 10, resize by 15%, add drop shadow, arrange on bottom left

Sarfish 3, resize by 15%, add drop shadow, arrange on bottom right

Coral 2, resize by 15, add drop shadow, arrange along bottom of frame between the coral on the left and the chair

Leaves 2, resize by 15%, arrange between coral and bottle, drag layer between the two, duplicate & mirror. Drag it over to the left.

Open paper 1, copy and paste as a new layer, just above the white background layer. Open your mask in psp. Go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. In your layer palette, find the mask, delete it, click yes to the pop up box, merge group.

Duplicate 2x and then merge all 3 together to make the mask darker.

Crop & resize. Add your text, copyright and credits as needed & save.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Resolutions by Jen's Sweet Temptations, which you can find here.

Font of choice, I am using Zebra.

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white background.

Open paper 9. Set your preset shape tool on elipse.

On your color palette, click on the colored box and go to patterns. Find the paper in the menu and click on it. Angle should be 0 and scale 100%. Set your foreground to white, line style solid, width 10. Now draw out a largish circle in the middle of your canvas.

Objects, align, center in canvas, Convert to raster layer. Take your magic wand and click in the white border. Ajust, add/remove noise, add noise monochrome and uniform checked 100%

Deselect, add a drop shadow. Duplicate.

Adjust blur, gaussian blur, 40. Apply Xero Fritillary, change the variation to 30. Resize by 110%

Open ribbon 2, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange near the bottom of the circle, add a drop shadow. If necessary, take the eraser and erase the bits hanging over the frame.

Open fireworks 1, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange near top left of the circle.

Open flower 3, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 30%. Arrange on right, just above the ribbon. Duplicate, rotate to the left by 12, Drag the duplicate just above the original flower & drag that layer below the original flower layer. Do it again so you have a total of 3 flower layers. Merge all 3 flower layers together, duplicate and mirror.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if necessary, add a drop shadow.

Crop & resize.

Add your text, copyright and credits as needed.

Oh So Sexy

Open your template and change the canvas size to about 750 x 750 so you have some room to work.

Open paper 3, fill black circle and lower black circle by making the layer active (click on it in your layer palette) click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert, copy and paste your paper as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, deselect. Add a drop shadow then delete your original template layer.

Do the same for the 2rectangles layer using paper 9.

On the heart frame layer, do the same using paper 8. Add/remove noise using the following settings uniform, monochrome 100%.

Fill the heart layer with paper 4.

Make the mask layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert. Copy and paste paper 4 as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard then deselect. Duplicate the pink mask layer and merge down. Delete the original mask layer.

Fill the wa layer the same way you filled the shapes layer using paper 4. Delete the original wa layer and merge down with wa bg. Add a drop shadow.

Make your heart layer active. Selections, select all, float, defloat, invert. Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, duplicate. Drag one layer below the heart frame and one above. Hide the top tube. Take your eraser tool and erase the bits of tube hanging over the frame. Deselect. Add a drop shadow to the tube.

Un-hide your top tube layer. Erase the bits hanging over the frame. You don't have to be super careful because you'll have the bottom tube showing.

Crop, resize, add your text, credits and copyright as needed & save.

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white background.

Open frame2 copy and paste as a new layer, rotate by 90 and resize by 70%.

Click inside the frame with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open paper 9, copy and paste as a new layer between the frame and background layer, resize by 70%, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer between the paper and frame. Arrange it in the frame, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate the tube, on the top layer adjust, blur gaussian blur 3. Change the blend mode to soft light. On the original (bottom) tube layer apply Xero Radiance with the default settings except change blue to 0.

Add a drop shadow to your frame and bottom tube.

Open WA4, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 82%, drag to the bottom.

Open WA6, resize by 63%, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow.

Open element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 40%, add a drop shadow, arrange on the right, drag this layer below the word art layer we put across the bottom of the frame.

Open element 7, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 65%, arrange on the left, add a drop shadow.

Open paper 11, copy and paste as a new layer just above the white background. Open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. In the layer palette, delete the mask, click yes. Merge group.

Crop & resize.

Add text, copyright and credits as needed & save.

Secret Garden

Open your template, shift D to duplicate. Resize to 600 x 520, then change the canvas size to 750 x 700. I filled the background with white to make it easier to see.

Delete the following layers: credits, raster 1, copy of raster 1, stars, raster 3.

Fill each of the different layers of the template by clicking on the layer in your layer palette, then take your magic wand, click inside the shape, selections, invert, copy and paste the paper, click delete on your keyboard and deselect. Delete the template layer and add a drop shadow to each of the paper layers as you go.

On the middle circle layer, once you click delete, do not deselect. Leave selected, then open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer. click delete on your keyboard. Then deselect, add a drop shadow to the circle layer.

Change the blend mode on the tube to Luminance(L) and drop the opacity to about 50.

Open your mask, open a paper, copy and paste just above the background layer, apply your mask. Go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box. Delete the mask in the layer palette, then merge group.

Add your tube & apply a drop shadow

Add your elements & add drop shadow where needed.

Flower 9, resize by 60%, arrange on right, duplicate & mirror

Flower 7, mirror, rotate right by 17, arrange on right

BFly4, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange below your main tube, over the circle layer

BFly5, copy and paste as a new layer, arrang eon the right

BFly2, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the left side

Crop and resize.

Add your text, copyright and credits as needed, then save.

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, close the original.

Resize to about 600 x 600 pixels, then change the canvas size to about 700 x 700 or so so you have room to work.

Delete the credits layer.

Fill each of the layers with papers from the kit by making the layer active (click on it) in your layer palette. Click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert. Copy and paste the paper as a new layer, and click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow & delete the original template layer.

Do the same with the different layers of word art, raster 14, raster 12, & raster 10. I filled mine with papers and then erased the paper part that covered in letters I didn't want filled. (like in the words that say "play nice" i filled with a dark purple paper, then erased all but the letter p & y).

Merge all your word art layers together.

Add your tube, add a drop shadow to the tube.

Drag your word art over or down a little to make it look good with the tube.

Add your elements. I used:

Wire

Print 1

Ribbon 1 (erase some of the left side to fit)

Skull

Crop, resize, add text, credits and copyright as needed & save.

Strawberry Kisses

Tube of choice, I am using the dolls that came with the kit. If you also use them, you have to credit them as you would a tube, and that info is included in the folder within the kit.

Open the template, shift D to duplicate and close the original.

Delete the credits layer.

Change the canvas size to about 750 x 600 so you have some room to work. Also add a new raster layer, flood fill with white and send to the bottom. The white layer just makes it easier to see what you're doing.

Make bracket 1 layer active in the layer palette, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, open paper 5, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.

Deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original bracket layer.

Do the same for the bracket 2 layer.

Make the oval layer active, click inside it with your magic wand, selections, invert, open paper 1, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.

Deselect, delete the original black oval layer.

Add a drop shadow to the glitter oval layer.

Make the circle layer active, fill it the same way you did the brackets, using paper 14. Leave it selected.

Open the strawberry bouquet element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 70%. Arrange to the right, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate the strawberry bouquet, mirror and arrange on the left side. Merge down, add a drop shadow.

Delete the original circle layer, add a drop shadow to the paper layer.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow.

Add elements. I used:

Bow, resize by 18%, place on right, duplicate, mirror, add drop shadow

Strawberry bunch 2, resized by 12%, arrange in her hands, adjust sharpness, sharpen, add drop shadow

Grass, resize by 30%, duplicate, image mirror, merge together

Umbrella, resize by 30%, add drop shadow, place on left side of grass

Strawberry 2 & Strawberry 3, resized by 15%, place on the left under the umbrella, mirror one of them, add drop shadow

Teapot candies, resize by 20%, drop shadow, arrange on right side of grass.

Sweet word art, resize by 27%, add drop shadow, arrange to top left.

Crop, resize, add text, credits and copyright as needed.

Save & you're done!

Good Morning

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 with a white background.

Open frame 2, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 22%.

Click inside it with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open paper 2, resize to 600 x 600 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and drag this layer below the frame layer.

Merge these two layers together, rotate to the left by 20, & add a drop shadow.

Open the good morning card element, resize to 525 pixels on the width. Copy and paste as a new layer, add a drop shadow.

Open frame 3, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 30%.

Click inside it with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open paper 9, resize to 600 x 600 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Drag the paper layer below the frame layer.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it how you want it within the frame.

Take your eraser tool and carefully erase the bits you don't want hanging over the edge of the frame.

Deselect, add a drop shadow to your tube and your frame.

Take your preset shapes tool set on ellipse and draw out a circle that just fits over the round frame. DO NOT change to raster, leave as a vector layer.

Set your foreground to white and background to #445270.

We're going to make a curved text here around the frame.

Take your text tool, and where it says "create as" change it to floating. Now hover your text tool over the ellipse you drew out until you see a little curved line pop up under the A. Write out your text "good morning" or whatever you choose to use. You might have to play around with it a bit to find where to start writing your text so it fits across the top of the frame properly.

Once you get that done, deselect the text, add a drop shadow, and delete the ellipse.

Now to add elements. Use whichever elements you'd like. I added the following with any amounts I resized next to it. Add drop shadows where necessary.

Coffee maker, resize by 15%

Coffee, resize by 15%

Pancakes, resize by 12%

Muffin, resize by 12%

Button 2, resize by 45%, duplicate, image mirror

Ribbon, resize by 14%

Open paper 10, resize by 655 x 655, copy and paste as a new layer, just above your white background.

Open your mask in psp, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click on it, click ok.

Go to your layer palette, find the mask, delete it, click yes. Merge group.

Crop, resize, add your text, credits and copyright as needed, save & you're done!

Music Speaks (No Scraps)

Plugins: Alien Skin Eye Candy 2000 - HSB Noise, Tramages - Tow the Line

Let's get started!

Change the canvas size to 850 x 850 pixels.

Delete the following layers mask 1, mask 2, mask 3, mask 4, cr info, word art, word art outline.

In your color palette, set your foreground to #3a51a0 and your background to black. Then click on your foreground and choose gradients, find foreground/background and set it to linear, angle 45, repeats 3.

Make the big pink square layer active, click inside it with your magic wand. Add a new raster layer above it and flood fill with your gradient. Deselect and delete the original layer. Add a drop shadow to the gradient layer.

Make outterbk layer active, click inside it with your magic wand, add a new raster layer, flood fill with black. Deselect.

Apply HSB Noise filter with the default settings, apply it again, this time hit the Random Seed button a couple times before applying it. Add a drop shadow and delete the original template layer.

Make the inner square layer active, click inside it with your magic wand, add a new raster layer above it, flood fill with #6f84cb then deselect.

Apply Tramages - Tow the Line using default settings. Delete the original template layer.

Fill both the upper and lower pink rectangles with #1b2549 using the same technique used above, then add drop shadows to both and delete the original layers.

Do the same with upperdkpinkrectangle and lowerdkpinkrectangle (the two going across the very top and bottom), fill with #212e5d, add drop shadow and delete the original layers.

Do the same with pink lines 1 and pink lines 2, fill with #8c9dd6 and do not add drop shadow to these layers.

Make the pink inner circle layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat, add a new raster layer and flood fill with black. Deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original layer.

Make a new canvas sized 700 x 700 pixels, flood fill with #8c9dd6.

Back on your template layer, make pink dots layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, copy and paste the new canvas you just made, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer.

Do the same as above for the pink circle frame layer.

Go back on the black circle layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert. Take your close up tube layer, and mirror it. Then copy and paste as a new layer & arrange it in the circle how you want it, click delete on your keyboard and deselect. I erased the bits that were beyond the blue border. You can erase them or leave them depending on what you like.

Change the blend mode on the tube to Luminance(L) and drop the opacity to about 70.

Add your main tube, add a drop shadow to the tube.

Open your word art, copy and paste as a new layer. Take your magic wand and click inside the pink letters. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #6f84cb. Deselect and merge the blue layer down.

Crop, resize, add text, credits and copyright as needed and save.

Open your template, resize to about 650 x 650 pixels. Change the canvas size to 750 x 750, so you have room to work. Delete raster 10 layer (credits).

Fill in the various layer with papers. To do this, click on the layer you want to work with in your layer palette, then take your magic wand tool and click inside the shape. Selections, invert, copy and paste your paper as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and then delete the original template layer. Add drop shadow where needed. Do this to all layers except raster 4 and raster 3.

Add a paper just above your white background layer, apply the mask by opening it in psp, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find it in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask out of the layers palette, click ok. Merge group.

On raster 4, add noise by going to adjust, add/remove noise with settings: uniform, monochrome 100.

On raster 3, fill with your paper, but then leave it selected. Copy and paste your close up tube, arrange within the frame, click delete on your keyboard. Change the opacity to Luminance(L) and drop the opacity to around 70.

Add your main tube, add a drop shadow.

Add any elements you'd like. These are what I used:

Heartspray2, resize 65%

Heartbow, resize by 75%

Girly Skull, resize by 28% then by 75%, rotate right 20, arrange on top of bow

iPod, resize by 25%

Sad bear, resize by 34%, mirror

Crop, resize, add text and any copyrights/credits necessary, then save.

It's Winter

Let's get started!

Open your template delete all the top layers until you get down to raster 6 (all the word art layers need to be deleted).

Resize all layers to 600 x 600, then change the canvas size to 750 x 750. This is just to give us room to work.

Fill the different shapes with a paper by clicking on the layer in the layer palette to make it active, then use your magic wand to click inside the shape, go to selections, invert, copy and paste your paper, then click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow if needed and delete the original layer.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange slightly to the right, add a drop shadow.

Add your elements. I used the following:

Mittens, resize by 13%

Flower3, resize by 15%

Flower6, resize by 10%

Bucket2, resize by 10%

Ribbon4, resize by 10%, duplicate, mirror

Moose2, resize by 25%

Open the ice pond element, resize by 21%, duplicate twice and arrange them stacked like below, then merge them together.

Apply Visman Extravaganza - Transmission, using default settings except change the offset to 10. Drag this layer to the bottom.

Now just crop, resize, add your text and copyright/credit info as needed.

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white background.

Open wood frame, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 40%. Pull it up & to the left a little bit.

Open rectangle frame 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 40%, and arrange it over the bottom right side of your other frame.

Click inside the large wood frame, selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange below the wood frame, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, deselect. (If your tube doesn't fill the frame, then leave selected and add a paper of your choice below the tube.

Duplicate your tube, on the top layer, adjust blur, gaussian blur by 3, change the blend mode to soft light. On the original tube layer, apply Xero Porcelain using the default settings, except change the blue channel to 0. Add a drop shadow to the frame.

Do the same with another tube inside the smaller frame. If you're using the same tubes I did, then resize your tube about 70%.

Open your mask, also open a paper of your choice (I used paper 5), copy and paste the paper as a new layer, just above the white background. Apply your mask by going to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok, then in the layer palette, delete the mask, choose yes, then merge group. Then duplicate the mask layer and merge down.

Now add any elements you'd like. I used the following, drop shadow as needed:

Flower spray 3, resize by 70%, arrange over top left of larger frame

Flower spray, resize by 55%, mirror, rotate left by 30, arrange along bottom of large frame, keeping it underneath the smaller frame layers.

Flower spray 2, resize by 55%, mirror, arrange over the right lower side of smaller frame.

BugGlobe, resize by 25%, hang over the left side of smaller frame.

Fairy 1, resize by 25%, arrange where the two frames come together.

Crop & resize, add your text, copyright and credits as needed.

Sweet Treats

Open your template, shift D to duplicate. Delete the following layers: ©, 1, 2, Raster 2 Shadow 1, & 9.

Resize to 600 x 600, then change the canvas size to 750 x 750 to have extra work space.

Add a new raster layer, drag to the bottom and flood fill with white.

On layer 12, click inside the circle with your magic wand, selections, invert, copy and paste a paper as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow, delete the original layer 12.

Fill layers 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, & 11 the same way, using papers of your choice. Make sure to add a drop shadow and delete the original layers as you go.

On layer 7, fill with a paper as you did above, but after you click delete on the paper, leave selected.

Open your tube, mirror if needed, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange within the frame, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow to your tube.

Do the same for layer 4.

Add whichever elements you like adding drop shadow as necessary. I used the following:

Snowman2, resized at 45%

Canister, resized at 45%

Pie2, resized at 45%

Cup, resized at 30%

Cupcake 1, resized at 30%

Cupcake 3, resized at 30%

Crop, resize, add your text, copyright and credits as needed.

Rock of Love

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, and close the original.

Delete the "by Missy" and gradient star layers.

Change your canvas size to 800 x 650 to give room to work.

The background layer is hidden, click on the eye so you can see it, flood fill with white.

Fill the layers glitter rectangle right & left, rectangle center, circle 1 center, & rectangle with glitter edges, by clicking on them in your layer pallet, clicking inside them with your magic wand, selections, invert, open paper 4, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original layer.

Do the same with the large circle, star left, star right & thin rectangle center layers but with paper 7. Do not add a drop shadow to the star layers.

Fill circle left, circle right as above using paper 6.

Add a drop shadow to glitter star left and right. Merge the white part of the stars with the middle part it goes to. (that we filled with the pink paper) You want to end up with two stars, both white with a pink center (or whatever color paper you used to fill it)

Click on circle 2 center with your magic wand, selections, invert, open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard and leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, duplicate and hide the top tube layer. Take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang over the bottom of the circle. Deselect and add a drop shadow to your tube.

Unhide the top tube, drag it up between the star layers, so that the left star is above the tube and the right star is below the tube. Erase the parts of her legs that hang over the bottom of the circle. You don't have to be too careful, you have the bottom tube showing through.

Add the elements you would like. I added the following:

Wire, resize by 60%, image, flip, arrange on the right, duplicate, mirror, arrange on left, merge down, duplicate, flip. Erase any bits that overlap and don't look right.

Keyboard, resize by 40%, drag below right star.

Drums, resized by 40%

Acoustic guitar, resize by 40%, rotate to right by 20

Emo kitty skull, resize by 25%, rotate to right by 20

Music notes, resize by 25%

Crop, resize, add your text, copyrights and credits as needed & save.

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, close the original. Delete the "by Missy" layer and the brush layer.

Change the canvas size to 900 x 650 just to give yourself some extra room to work, and you can resize & crop it down at the end.

The background is hidden, so un-hide that and flood fill with white to fill in the blank areas from resizing the canvas.

Make sure the square 1 layer is active, click inside it with your magic wand, selections, invert, copy paper 3 and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original square 1 layer.

Do the same for square 2.

Do the same for circle 1 and circle 3 using paper 2.

Fill circle 2 as above, using paper 4.

Make the frame back layer active, click inside it with your magic wand, selections, invert, open paper 7, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, and leave selected.

Open one of your tubes, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange the tube inside the frame, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Add a drop shadow to your tube and delete the original frame back layer.

Do the same as above for frame back 2 and frame back 3, using paper 10, and using 2 other tubes, resize your tubes if needed.

On each of the 3 frame layers, make the frame layer active, click inside it with your magic wand, open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original tube layer.

Make your background layer active, copy and paste paper 8 as a new layer, image, flip. Resize by 114%. Apply your mask by opening the mask in psp, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask in the layer palette, then merge group. Lower the opacity to about 70.

Add any elements you'd like, adding drop shadow where you like. I added the following and if I resized them, the amount is beside it:

flower & leaf, resize by 70%, duplicate, mirror, arrange over both outside circles

basket of letters, resize by 25%

jar, resize by 20%

teapot, resize by 40%

sugar bowl, resize by 34%

teacup, resize by 28%

bird 1, resize by 20%

Crop & resize, add your name and copyright info as needed.

Winter's Kiss

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, close the original.

Delete raster 1 layer. Change the canvas size to about 850 x 600 to give yourself room to work.

Fill the various shapes by making the layer you want to work with active (click on that layer in your layer palette) click on the shape with your magic wand, layers, invert, copy and paste the paper, click delete on your keyboard. & deselect. Do this for all layers except frame back 1, 2, & 3, glitter back, and their frames. Add drop shadows as you go and delete the original layers.

Add noise to the frame back 1, 2, and 3 layers with the following settings: Uniform, monochrome checked, 100%, then add drop shadow.

For each of the frame back layers, fill with a paper as you did above, but leave selected, then copy and paste your tube, arrange it within that area, click delete on your keyboard and deselect. Do this for each of the frame back layers.

Duplicate each of your tubes. On the top layer, adjust blur, gaussian blur 3. Set blend mode to soft light. On the original tube layer (bottom) apply xero porcelain using the default settings, except change the blue to 0.

Add a drop shadow to the tube layer you just applied the filter to. Do this with each tube.

Copy and paste a paper just above the white background layer. Apply your mask by opening your mask, got to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok, click yes on the pop up, delete the mask in the layers pallet and merge group.

Add any elements you like.

Add your text, copyright and credits as needed.

Winter Express

I use the drop shadow of 1, 1, 50, 5 throughout unless otherwise noted.

Let's get started!

Open your template, press shift + D on your keyboard to duplicate, close the original template.

Delete the snowflakes layer.

Resize to 600 x 440, then change the canvas size to 800 x 600. Un-hide the white background layer, make sure it's the active layer, and flood fill with white.

Make shape layer active, click inside it with your magic wand. Open paper 15, copy and paste as a new layer, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Add a drop shadow, delete the original black shape layer.

Do the same as above on rectangle 1 and rectangle 2 layers using paper 8.

Fill the oval layer as you did with the other layers above, using paper 12.

Add a drop shadow to the dotted oval layer.

Fill the rectangle layer (larger pink one) using paper 1, follow the steps above.

Fill the thin rectangle (black) using paper 14.

Make the rectangle (top pink one in middle with the white frame) active. Selections, select all, float, defloat, add a new raster layer, flood fill with #1285a2. Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste your close up as a new layer, arrange where you want it, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Delete the original rectangle layer, do not add a drop shadow to this.

Change the blend mode on the tube to Luminance, drop the opacity to about 60.

Add a drop shadow to the following layers: frame & rectangle back.

Make the word art layer active. Selections, select all, float, defloat. Add a new raster layer, flood fill the words that are darker pink with #1285a2 and the ones that are lighter pink with #5caec4. Delete the original word art layer. Merge down the flood filled layer with the word art back layer, add a drop shadow.

Add your main tube, drag that layer below the word art layer. Add a drop shadow.

Add whatever elements you'd like to your tag. I used the following, add drop shadow as you go along.

Tree 7, resize by 125%

Snowflake 12, resize by 25%

Hollyberry 2, resize by 50%

Copy and paste paper 6 just above the white background layer. Open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down menu, click ok, click yes to the box that pops up. Merge group. Resize by 110%

Crop your tag, resize if needed.

Add your name, copyright and credits as needed.

For the drop shadow in this tut I used 1, 1, 50, 5 black throughout unless otherwise noted.

Let's get started!

Open the template, change the canvas size to 650 x 650.

Delete the following layers, the top credits layer, circle 1, circle 4, circle 1 frame and circle 4 frame.

Rotate the other layers to the left by 45.

Fill each of the remaining layers with papers of your choice from the scrap kit by clicking on each layer with your magic wand, selections invert, copy and paste the paper, click delete on your keyboard and delete each of the original raster layers. Leave the top square layer for last.

I also added noise 100%, uniform and monochrome checked, on the two square frame layers. Add drop shadow to your liking as you go along.

When you fill the top square layer, leave selected, open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the square and click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, duplicate the tube, on the top layer, adjust blur, gaussian blur, 3. Change the blend mode to soft light. Change the blend mode on the original tube to Luminance(L), add a very light drop shadow. I used 1, 1, 15, 1 black.

Copy and paste your main tube as a new layer, add a drop shadow.

Add any elements you'd like. I used the following with drop shadows and if I resized them, the amount is beside it.

Bow 1, 30%

Snowman 1, 65%

Lantern, 30%

Mouse, 25%

Add a paper just above the white background layer. Open the mask, layers, new mask, from image. Find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask in the layer palette and merge group.

Crop, resize, add your name and copyright & credits as needed. On my name, I added noise at 50, uniform and monochrome checked and added a drop shadow.

Open your template, resize to about 580 x 528 pixels. Change the canvas size to 700 x 700.

Delete raster 5, copy of merged, merged and raster 4.

Flood fill raster 1 with white to make it a bit easier to see what you are doing while making your tag.

Make the layer, merged, active. Click inside it with your magic wand. Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original layer. Add drop shadow.

Do the same for raster 3 layer using paper 11.

Do the same for raster 6 and raster 2 using papers 9 and 12.

Make the merged squares layer active, click inside with your magic wand, copy and paste paper 4, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.

Open one of your close up tubes, copy and paste as a new layer. Arrange it within the squares, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Delete the original grey squares.

Duplicate the tube. On the top layer, adjust, blur, gaussian blur by 3. Change the blend mode to soft light.

On the original layer, adjust hue and saturation, change both to 0. Drop the opacity to about 60.

Add any elements you'd like. I used the following, with any amount I resized them by beside the element.

Flower frame, resize by 90%(erase bits that hang over right side.)

Winter flower scatter 3

Winter tree 3

Flower 3, resize by 17%

Polar bear, resize by 80%

Wonderland word art

Copy and paste paper 10 just above the white background layer. Add mask by opening your mask in psp, going to layers, new mask layer, from image. Find your mask in the drop down box, click ok. In the layers palette, delete the mask, click ok, then merge group. I then resized mine by 103%.

Add your full sized tube, crop, resize.

Add your text, copyright and credits as needed.

Merge the two yellow rectangles together, click inside with your magic wand.

Open paper 1, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange how you want, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, selections, modify, invert, selections, modify, expand by 5.

Add a new raster layer. Flood fill with a color from the paper. Deselect, add/remove noise, add noise 100%, monochrome, uniform. Add a drop shadow.

Delete the original yellow rectangles layer.

Click inside the circle layer with your magic wand.

Open paper 7, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, deselect, delete the original layer. Add drop shadow.

Do the same with rectangles 2 & 3, using paper 10. Do not add drop shadow.

Add the drop shadow to the rectangle 2 & 3 frames.

Do the same with rectangle 1 but leave it selected after you delete the paper. Copy and paste your tube into the rectangle, arrange it and then click delete on your keyboard. Change the blend mode to Luminance(L).

Copy and paste your main tube as a new layer, add drop shadow.

Add the elements you'd like. I used the following and if I resized them, the amount I resized them by is beside it. Add drop shadow as you go as needed.

Remember, my tube and color choices are not mandatory for you to use. You can choose whatever tube and matching colors you'd like. You can go exactly off my tut or change it up and make it however you'd like.

Let's get started!

Open the template, delete the top (credits) layer.

Resize to about 585 x 551 pixels.

Change canvas size to 700 x 700 pixels.

Add a new raster layer above the background layer. Flood fill with white, delete the original background layer.

Put black as your foreground and #3e1710 as your background. Make this a foreground/background gradient by right clicking the foreground color in your color palette and click on the gradient tab in the box.

Choose foreground/background in the drop down box. Set Angle at 45, repeats at 2.

Choose linear & click ok.

On your layer palette, make center rectangle layer active, click inside with your magic wand. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with your gradient, leave selected.

If you're using the same tube, open your tube and choose the middle tube that shows her from the waist up. Mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 90%, arrange in the rectangle, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Change your blend mode to Luminance(L) on your layer palette.

Delete the original center rectangle layer.

On your layer palette, make right rectangle layer active, click inside with your magic wand. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with black. Delete the original right rectangle layer.

On your layer palette, make left rectangle layer active, click inside with your magic wand. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with #3e1710. Delete the original left rectangle layer.

On your layer palette, make circle 1 layer active, click inside with your magic wand, go to selections, modify, smooth, use default settings. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with black. Delete the original circle 1 layer

Do the same for circle 2, but use #2c0d0c to fill.

On your layer palette, make big circle 1 layer active, click inside with your magic wand, go to selections, modify, smooth, use default settings.

In your color palette, make the background white, the foreground #5d2019, and make a gradient using the same settings as above.

Add a new raster layer, flood fill with your gradient. Deselect.

Apply Xero Fritillary using the following settings top to bottom:

Delete the original big circle 1 layer.

Do the same as above for big circle 2 layer. If you seem to be getting too much white with the gradient fill, go into your gradient settings and click on invert then try flood filling again.

Make the lips layer active. Selections, select all, float, defloat, add a new raster layer and fill with the same gradient you just used on the big circles. Fill it about 3 or 4 times. Deselect and delete the original lips layer. Add a drop shadow of your choice (I used 1, 1, 50, 5 throughout this tag)

Make square 2 layer active, click inside with your magic wand, add a new raster layer, flood fill with #280d0a, leave selected, selections, invert, copy and paste your main tube, arrange in the square, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate your tube, on the top layer, adjust blur, gaussian blur by 3, change the blend mode to soft light. On the bottom tube, change the blend mode to screen.

Delete the original square 2 layer.

Do the same as above for the square 1 layer, but fill it with #541c16 and mirror your tube before copy and pasting it into the square.

Add drop shadows to big circle 1 back, big circle 2 back, and left & right rectangle backs.

Make square 2 back layer active, click inside with your magic wand, add a new raster layer, flood fill with #808080. Deselect adjust, add remove noise, add noise 100%, uniform & monochrome checked. Add a drop shadow, delete the original square 2 back layer.

Do the same for all the remaining backs on the shapes. I filled some with the grey and some with a brown, use my tag for reference.

Make the "Special" word art layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat, add new raster layer, flood fill with #68231d, deselect, add noise settings as above, delete the original layer.

Do the same with the "licious" layer using #a75d55.

Merge all the word art layers together. I just started on the top one, right clicked, chose merge down, and just kept going down the layer palette until they were all merged. Then add a drop shadow.

Add your main tube below the word art layer, add a drop shadow.

Make a new raster layer just above the white background layer. Make the foreground in your color palette #4f100b, the background black. Make a foreground/background gradient like we did above, flood fill with this gradient.

Add your mask by opening the mask in psp, go to layer, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. In the layer palette, delete the mask, click yes, then merge group. Resize the mask layer by 107%.

Crop, delete the white background layer if you want it transparent.

Add your text and copyright info.

Open template, resize by 80%, change canvas size to about 650 x 650.

C/P paper 12, S/I/CD/DS, delete the original circle layer.

Make oval 1 layer active, S/SA/F/D

Make rectangle layer active, S/SA/F/D

Add a drop shadow of choice to each of the white fill layers and the rectangle layer. I used 1, 1, 50, 5.

Merge all the text layers together & add a drop shadow.

Open your tube, C/P, add a drop shadow.

Add any elements you want. I used the following:

Branch, resize 44%, duplicate, image mirror

Three angels, resize 76%

Presents pile, resize 15%, duplicate, mirror, arrange near each other over tree

Bell Hanger, resize 35%

Bundle, resize 35%

Flower frame, resize 35%, click inside frame with magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 2, copy and paste a paper, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Add drop shadow to frame.

Open paper 14, copy and paste as a new layer. Open mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down menu, click ok. Delete the mask in your layers palette, click yes, merge group.

Crop, resize, add your name or text in the the little box for your flower frame.

Add copyrights and credits as needed, then save.

I used 1, 1, 50, 5 for the drop shadows throughout this tut.

Open a new canvas 700 x 700, white background.

Open frame 3, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60% then by 65%. Click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 2.

Open paper 9, resize to 600 x 600 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer below the frame layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.

Copy and paste your close up tube, position as you like, click delete on your keyboard, deselect. Make sure to drag it below your frame.

Copy and paste your main tube as a new layer, add drop shadow.

Add any elements you'd like. These are the ones I added, with the amounts I resized them by. Add drop shadow as you go as needed.

Flourish 1, resize by 25%, rotate left by 20

Leaves 1, resize by 18%

Flower 8, resize by 10%

Diamond scatter 1, resize by 40 then 35

Crop, resize, add text, credits and copyright as needed, then save.

Open a new canvas 700 x 700.

Open frame 2, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 150%. Click inside with your magic wand.

Selections, modify, smooth with default settings. Settings, modify, expand by 5.

Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer just above the white background. Resize by 65%, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard and leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the frame, duplicate. Drag the original layer below the frame layer, hide the duplicate tube.

Take your eraser tool and erase the bits hanging below the frame where you don't want them showing. Selections, select none. Add a drop shadow to the tube and frame.

Un-hide the duplicate tube that is above your frame. Take the eraser tool and erase the bits below the frame. You don't have to be careful to run exactly along the frame because you have the duplicate showing below it.

Add the following elements (or any others of your choice), add drop shadow as needed

Tree lights, resize by 50%

Snowman 1, resize by 50%

Skater Light, resize by 50%

Snow, arrange on the left, duplicate, mirror

Flower 3, resize by 65%, arrange on the right, duplicate, mirror

Open paper 9, copy and paste as a new layer, just above the white background layer. Apply your mask by opening it in PSP, then go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask in your layer pallete, click yes, then merge group. Arrange the mask if needed. I had to pull mine a bit to the left to make it look right.

Crop, resize, add text, copyright and credits as needed.

Open the template, delete the info, layer 5 & cat layers. Change the canvas size to 650 x 650.

Make layer 4 active, click inside it with your magic wand, open paper 9, resize by 70%, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and delete the original black circle.

Do the same with layer 2, using paper 7.

Do the same for layers 1, 3, 6 and 8 using paper 4. After you fill them with the paper, then go in and adjust, add/remove noise, and add noise, 85, monochrome, uniform. Add drop shadows to each frame layer.

Make layer 7 active, click inside with your magic wand, selections, invert, open paper 10, resize by 70%, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the frame, click delete on your keyboard.

Delete the original layer 7, add drop shadow to your tube.

Do the same for layer 9.

Add elements and your tube. I used the following (add drop shadow of your choosing):

Cauldron, resized 70%

Ghost, resized 50%

Flowers

Candle, resized 60%

Cat2, resized 45%

Bottle, resized 45%

Goblet, resized 40%

Cupcake, resized 35%

add a new layer , drag it to the bottom, flood fill with black. Open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down box, click yes. delete the mask, choose yes in the pop up box, merge group. Drop the opacity to about 45.

Crop, resize, add text, credits, and copyright as needed.

Open the template, delete the credits and stars. Resize canvas to 700 x 700

*optional* Add a new raster layer, drag to the bottom and flood fill with white, this is just to make it easier to see what we're doing.

Make the circle layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, open paper 15, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard and deselect. Delete the original circle. Add a drop shadow to the circle paper.

Make the rectangle layer active, click it with your magic wand, open paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the rectangle, take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang over, deselect add drop shadow to the tube and glitter rectangle, delete the black rectangle.

Open piano keys, resize by 55%, arrange them so that the bigger end is just covering the bottom left side of the rectangle, erase the little bit at the right side that hangs over the circle.

Open the tag cluster, resize by 36%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange over the left side of piano keys.

Put any other elements you'd like on. I used the following and resized by the amount beside it.

Unicorn, 35%

Heart dangle 40%

Metal butterfly 20%

Gem heart 20%, rotate right by 18

Champagne bottle , 25%

Campagne glass, 25%

Flowervine, 75% (duplicate and mirror, so you have it on both sides)

Key, 15%, rotate to right by 45

Butterfly, 15%

Open paper 11, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it just above the white background layer and apply your mask, by opening your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask, merge group.

Open a new canvas 700 x 700 white. This will give us extra room to work, and we can crop and resize at the end.

Open film 4, copy and paste as a new layer.

Open film 1, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange over bottom of film 4.

Take your freehand selection tool set on point to point and add (Shift). Click around the edges of the center squares on film 4.

Open paper 4, copy and paste between film 4 and the white background layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard.

Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste above the paper you just put in the frame. Arrange the tube, then click delete on your keyboard.

Do this with your tube 3 times, to fill all 3 squares in the film 4, mirroring the tube sometimes to have it going different directions. Deselect & erase the bits that show from one film square into another. Merge each tube together.

Duplicate your tube layer, on the top layer, adjust blue, gaussian by 3. change blend mode to soft light. On the original layer, change the hue and saturation both to 0.

Add a drop shadow to to the filmstrip layer.

Do the same thing with the paper (I'm using paper 10 for this one) and tube in the small film 1 element.

Copy and paste your main tube, drag it so it is just above the larger filmstrip. Arrange it how you want, add drop shadow, if any of it is peeking below the thin filmstrip, erase it.

Doodle 1, copy and paste arrange at top left, duplicate, image flip, duplicate, image mirror, duplicate, image flip.

Add your elements.

This was my entry into the Arthur Crowe contest that he had this month. He just announced the winners so now I can post my tut.

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Arthur Crowe, which you need a license to use. You can get it at PTE.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Fall In Love by Gina at Crafted By Gina. The links to the stores she sells at are on the right side of her blog.

My word art here. If you don't want to use my word art but want to make your own using the same fonts, I used Over the Rainbow and Lounge Bait for the word art.

Font of choice, I am using Lounge Bait.

For this tut I use a drop shadow of 1, 1, 50, 5 black throughout.

Open a new template 650 x 650 white.

Open frame 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 35%

Take your freehand selection tool set at selection point: point to point and mode: add Shift. Click at points around the frame, slightly in from the center edge like my example below. Make sure you only go a small space between clicks. Once you get all the way around, double click where the line meets to connect them.

Open paper 10, resize by 35% three times. Copy and paste as a new layer, drag it between your frame and background layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it how you want it, click delete on your keyboard.

Deselect, add a drop shadow to your tube and frame.

Duplicate the tube, on the top layer, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3. Change the opacity to soft light. On the bottom tube, go to adjust, hue and saturation, drop both to 0. Drop the opacity to about 65 on this layer.

Open scatter02, resize twice by 35%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the bottom right side. Duplicate, mirror.

Open scatter 01, resize twice by 25%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it near the middle on the left, drag it just above the white background. Duplicate, mirror, flip and arrange on the top right.

Open bow02, resize twice by 35%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the right side of the frame, add drop shadow.

Open heart01, resize by 35% then by 25%, arrange on the top right, duplicate, mirror, arrange just below the first one. Add drop shadows to both.

Open the word art in my supplies, copy and paste as a new layer arrange over the frame in the middle. See my tag for reference.

Open bird01, resize by 35% then by 45%, adjust sharpness, sharpen, add drop shadow arrange on top right side of frame.

Pick 2 colors from your tube or this scraps and make a gradient with them by clicking on one of the colors and going to gradients, linear, angle 45, repeats 3.

Open your mask, add a new raster layer above the white background, flood fill with your gradient, apply your mask by going to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down menu click it, click ok. Delete the mask, merge group, resize by 90%.

Crop, resize, add your name, credits as needed and save.

Change the canvas size to 700 x 650.

For any shapes on the template that you fill with a paper, delete the original shape afterwards.

Make shape 1 layer active, click inside with magic wand, open paper 3, resize by 25%, copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard & deselect. Do the same for shape 2. Add drop shadow to both.

Do the same with rectangle frame and rectangle background, filling them with paper 1 resized by 25%

Add noise to both rectangle frame and rectangle background after you add the paper, uniform, monochrome checked 40%, then add drop shadow.

Make the rectangle layer active, click inside it with magic wand, open paper 4, resize by 15%, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, deselect. No drop shadow on this one.

Do the same with the circle layer, using paper 9 add drop shadow.

Make rectangle layer active, click inside with magic wand, open paper 10, resize by 15%, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.

Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it in the rectangles, click delete on your keyboard then deselect.

Change the blend mode to luminance (L) and drop the opacity to about 60.

On thin rectangles 1 and 2, add noise with the same settings as above and add drop shadow.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if necessary, arrange on the left side.

add elements that you like. These are the ones I used and how much I resized them by, add drop shadow to each.

Swans resized by 20%

Unicorn resized by 15%

Flower 1 resized by 15%

Bow 1 resized by 10% then 75%

Cupcake 1 resized by 10% then 55%

Envelope resized by 10% then 85%

Champagne resized by 10% then 65%

Jar resized by 10%

Decor 5 resized by 20%

Balloons resized by 20% then 50%

Raspberry 3 resized by 10% then 75%

The two raspberries, resize by 10% then 25%, arrange them duplicating and mirroring until you get as many as you want scattered about.

copy and paste a paper of your choice, open & apply mask, layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down menu, click ok, delete mask and merge group. You may have to resize it and duplicate it if you used a light paper.

Crop, resize, add credits and copyright as needed then add your name.

Open the house, resize by 55%, copy and paste as a new layer, drag between the frame and background paper. Arrange how you want it, click delete on your keyboard.

Add a drop shadow to the frame and house.

Open your tube, copy and paste on the right side of the frame, resize if needed, add drop shadow.

Open ghost lamp, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on left side, add drop shadow.

Open the moon, resize by 40%, copy and paste as a new layer, mirror, add drop shadow, arrange on the right side.

Open the cat, resize by 25%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on right, add drop shadow.

Open bad bug, resize by 25%, arrange on the base of the lamp, add drop shadow.

Open bats2, resize by 25% arrange over top of frame, add drop shadow.

Copy and Paste paper 6 as a new layer, drag just above white background.

Open mask.

Duplicate tube, drag original below the frame, drag the duplicate above the frame and hide it.

Take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang over the frame where you don't want them. Deselect, add drop shadow to the bottom tube. Unhide the top tube and erase the bits you don't want hanging over. You don't have to be very careful, because the lower tube will show through.

Add a drop shadow to the frame.

Open splatter, resize by 47%, copy and paste as a new layer, drag down so it is just above your background, arrange near the top of the tag, duplicate, image mirror & flip.

Open the tree, resize by 30 then by 45, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it to the left of the tag. Duplicate it, mirror, then drag the duplicate back to the left side and arrange it with the first tree. Add drop shadows to both trees.

Open the tombstone, resize by 25% then 45%, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow. arrange on the left in front of the trees.

Open the ghost, resize by 20% then 55%, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow, arrange on left side.

Open Frankie, resize by 20% then by 45%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the left, add drop shadow.

Open the cat, resize by 20% then by 75%, arrange on the left side, add drop shadow.

Open flower 3, resize by 20%, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow, arrange on the right.

Open flower 4, resize by 25%, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow, arrange on top of the other flower.

Add copyrights and credits.

Add text, crop, resize and save.

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Keith Garvey, which you need a license to use. You can get it at PTE.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Autumn Blues by Farrah's Designer Scraps.

Font of choice, I am using Impress BT

Mask: We're going to make our own!

Plugins: Visman Extravaganza-Transmission

Drop shadow used throughout 1, 1, 50, 5, black

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 650 x 650, white background.

Open frame 3, resize by 30%, copy and paste as a new layer. Click inside the frame with your magic wand tool, selections, modify, expand by 4.

Open paper 7, resize by 25%, copy and paste above the white background layer, below the frame layers, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if needed. If you're using the same tube as I am, it should be the right size. Arrange where you want it then duplicate. Hide the top layer and make sure the original tube layer is below your frame layer. Take your eraser and erase the bits hanging below the frame. Deselect and add a drop shadow.

Un-hide the duplicate tube and make sure it's above your frame. Take your eraser and erase the parts that hang below the frame. You don't have to be careful about where you erase because you have the one on the bottom to show through.

Add a drop shadow to your tube.

Now hide your white background layer and merge visible the rest of the layers, then duplicate, then you can un-hide your background layer.

On the bottom merged layer, adjust blur, gaussian blur at 20. Now apply Visman Extravaganza, Transmission using the following settings top to bottom: 6, 10, 40.

If yours has a rather odd shape at the top because of the head of your tube, you may want to take your eraser tool and erase the top part of the lines from the transmission plugin. Mine just had an odd shape that made it look like a stem coming from the top of it that I didn't like.

Now we can start adding our elements.

This is a list of what I used and what percentage I resized them by. You can look at my tag for placement. I also add a drop shadow to each element.

Vine 4, resize by 25% then 70%, arrange across bottom, duplicate, flip, mirror and drag the top (duplicated) copy below the frame layer.

Scatter 2, resize by 25% then 70%, arrange across bottom over top of Vine 4

Leaves 3, resize by 25% then by 30%, rotate to the left by 45, arrange on right side of frame, duplicate, mirror

Bow, resize by 25% then by 55%, rotate to the left by 45, duplicate, image mirror

Crop, resize, add credits and text then save.

Let's get started!

Open your template, resize by setting the width to about 650, it should then auto size the height. Change your canvas size to about 700 x 600.

Delete raster 7 layer.

Make raster 5 active, click on it with your magic wand, open a paper, copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add drop shadow, delete the original layer.

Do the same for each shape in the template (except raster 8, 9, & 11), changing papers to whichever paper you like.

On raster 11, adjust, add/remove noise, add noise, uniform, 70, monochrome checked. Add drop shadow.

Do the same for raster 8 & 9.

On raster 12 and copy of vector 1, adjust, hue and saturation, colorize, change them both to 0.

On each of the top square layers, make sure it's active, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it how you want, click delete on your keyboard. Change the blend mode to luminance (L)

Copy and paste your full tube, arrange to the right, add a drop shadow.

Add any elements you like, resizing as needed (make sure to go to adjust sharpen, and sharpen after resizing) and adding drop shadow. I used the following:

Dog, resized 25%

Flower branches, resized 30%

Flowerbunch, resized at 20%

Bird, resized at 20%

Satin bow, resized at 25%

Open a paper of choice, copy and paste as a new layer, just above the white background layer. Open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down box, click on it. Then in your layer palette, delete the mask, merge group. Resize your mask by about 116%.

Add your copyrights and credits as needed. Add your name or other text.

Crop, resize and save.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit Jurassic Rawr by Farrah's Designer Scraps, which you can purchase here.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas about 650 x 650 with a white background.

Open frame 2, resize by 40% then again by 55%, sharpen it by going to adjust, sharpness, sharpen. Copy and paste as a new layer, rotate to the left by 90.

Click inside the frame, modify, expand by 4.

Open paper 6, resize to 700 x 700 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer, drag below frame, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard.

Open the fence element, resize twice by 40% then sharpen. Copy and paste as a new layer, between the paper and frame. arrange it over to the right, leaving a little space open on the left side. Click delete on your keyboard.

Open the dinosaur tubes, resize each by 40% then by 30%, sharpen. Copy and paste them in your frame, arranging them how you'd like. Once you get them arranged, click delete on your keyboard on each dino layer to delete any parts hanging outside your frame.

Deselect. Add drop shadow to the frame, fence and dinos.

Open the sun element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 40% then by 30%. Arrange it to the top left over the frame.

Open the girl tube, resize by 40% then by 45%, sharpen. Arrange to the right side, add a drop shadow.

Arrange him to the right side just behind the girl.

Open the tree, resize twice by 40%, sharpen, mirror, add drop shadow, arrange to the top right behind the boy and girl.

Open the bird, resize by 40% twice sharpen, resize by 55%. Mirror and place on top of the tree, add a drop shadow.

Open the grass element, resize twice by 40% and once by 65%, sharpen. Arrange to the bottom left. Duplicate it, resize by 75%, sharpen, then duplicate that layer. Merge the two duplicate layers together. Arrange it in front of the fence, but below the frame, duplicate 4 times for a total of 5 grass. Mirror some of them. Arrange them along the front of the fence, then take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang below the frame.

Open the eggs, resize 3x by 40%, sharpening each time. duplicate them as many times as you want eggs, arrange around your tag.

Open the RAWR word art, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange twice by 55%, then once by 70%, add drop shadow, arrange on the top of the frame.

Open paper 10, resize by about 700 pixels, copy and paste as a new layer above your white background. Apply your mask. Drop the opacity to about 70%.

Add your name and credits. Crop and save.

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Three tubes, I am using the artwork of Armando Huerta, which you need a license to use. I got mine at MPT, but since they closed I don't think he has gone to any stores to sell. So if you don't have any of his artwork, you'll have to use another artist.

Font of choice, I am using The beautiful Ones

Plugins: Xero Fritillary, Two Moon Rotate & Fade Away, Xenofex 2 Constellation

Let's get started!

Open a new transparent canvas 600 x 250

Open your main tube, pick two colors from your tube, a light and a dark. I used #c4dff3 & #84bce5.

Make a gradient with these two colors, it should be linear with an angle of 45 and 1 repeats. Flood fill your canvas with this gradient.

Apply Xero Fritillary with the following settings top to bottom:

Edge effects, enhance.

Apply the Two Moon Rotate & Fade Away with the following settings top to bottom:

Open your other two tubes.

Copy and paste one tube, arrange it to the left side and duplicate it.

On the top tube layer apply gaussian blur 3.

On the bottom tube layer change the blend mode to Luminance (L) and drop the opacity to around 70.

Open another tube, this time arrange it on the right side and follow the same steps as you did on the first tube.

Open your main tube, copy and paste as a new layer add a drop shadow 1, 1, 100, 5 arrange slightly off center to the left.

Make your background layer active.

Selections, select all, modify, set selection borders and set it at 2.

Add a new raster layer at the top of the tag, flood fill with one of the colors you used for your background, but change it so that it's a bit darker. I changed mine to #575e83

Deselect, add noise guassian, 70, monochrome checked.

Go back to your background layer, do the same as above, but set selection borders at 4.

Add a new raster layer under the last border you did, flood fill it with black. This time instead of adding noise, apply Xenofex 2 Constellation with the following settings top to bottom:

1.98

fill with solid color checked and the color should be black.

Merge the two border layers together and add drop shadow 1, 1, 50, 5

Add your word art & your name.

Add any credits needed.

I'm No Angel

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Barbara Jensen, which you need a license to use. You can get it at her site here. This tube, however, is exclusive to Scraps and the City and you can get it here.

Template10 by Mindy Mae, which you can get here. Just look on the right sidebar for download links.

Font of choice, I am using Brushtip Travis, Dagobert

Plugins: no outside plugins, we'll just use ones that are standard with PSP.

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Let's get started!

Open the template, change the canvas size to 650 x 650 to give a little space to work.

Delete the following layers: raster 1, stars, hearts, and little circles.

Click inside the circle with your magic wand, make your foreground a gradient, choose the grey accent gradient from your drop down box, angle 45, repeats 1.

Add a new raster layer and flood fill with your gradient. Deselect.

Effects, texture effects, weave with the following settings, 2, 8, 30 weave and gap both white, fill gaps checked.

Click inside the white border on the circle layer we just used, add a new raster layer below the gradient, flood fill with white and deselect. Delete the original circle layer.

On the white border layer, add noise uniform, 80, monochrome checked. Add a drop shadow.

Add a drop shadow to the stitches and the angel circle layer.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if needed, add a drop shadow.

Now, make your gradient circle layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat. Now make your tube layer active, take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang over the bottom too far, then deselect.

Bring the big angel word art layer to the top, click inside it with your magic wand. Add a new raster layer, flood fill with white.

Add noise, uniform 80, monochrome unchecked.

Selections, modify, expand by 3, add a new raster layer under the angel word art, flood fill with black. Deselect, merge the white layer and black layer together, delete the original word art layer.

Free rotate to the left by about 15 add a drop shadow.

Use your text tool to add the words "I'm no" I did mine in black, then selections, modify, expand by 2, added a new raster layer, flood filled with white, deselect, and merged the two together, rotate the same as we did the angel layer and add a drop shadow.

Move both of these layers up to the top left of your tag.

Recolor the lines by making that layer active, and using adjust hue and saturation to get it to the color that matches your tube. I did mine by changing hue to 67 and saturation to 154.

Add your copyright and name and you're done!

I Didn't Ask to be a Princess

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white.

Open your template, resize the canvas to 700 x 600 to give us some extra working room and flood fill raster 1 with white. Delete the credits layer (raster 8) and raster 2.

Make the raster 4 layer active, open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert and click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange how you want it in the frame, and erase the parts that hang over where you don't want it. Deselect and add a drop shadow to your tube.

Delete the original raster 4 layer.

Make raster 3 layer active, click on it with your magic wand. Open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect, add a drop shadow and delete the original layer.

Use the steps above to add papers to your word art layers. On the word art layers, after you add your paper, add noise uniform, noise 40%, monochrome checked.

Add any elements you'd like to the tag.

Either copy and paste a paper into your tag just above the background layer OR flood fill with a color or gradient made from the kit or your tube. Open the mask, layer, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down box. Click ok, delete the mask, merge group.

Add your copyrights, credits and name.

Let's Get Lost

Tag

Open a new canvas 600 x 250 with a white background.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer.

Apply Mura Meisters copies with the following settings:

Wallpaper Rotate

Random

Wraparound

Settings on right side top to bottom: 20, 50, 50, o, 100, 0, 100, o, 100, 0, 0, 30, o

Adjust blur, motion blur radius 45 strength 100, apply it twice then change radius to 294 and apply that once.

Apply Xenofex Shower Door with the default settings.

Copy and paste your tube, arrange it to the right side, change the blend mode to Luminance(L) and drop the opacity to around 40.

Draw out a white rectangle across the bottom of your tag, lower opacity to about 50.

Copy and paste your tube again, arrange it slightly to the left of the bottom tube, add a drop shadow.

Copy and paste the word art, arrange near the top left, change the color to suit your tube, add a drop shadow.

Make the background layer active, selections, select all, selections, select selection borders, settings are inside, antialias checked, width 3.

Add a new layer at the top, flood fill with a color to complement your tube, add a drop shadow.

Delete the white background.

Add your copyright info & your name & save.

Avatar

Open a new canvas 150 x 150 white background.

Copy and paste the background from the tag that you made out of your tube.

Copy and paste your tube and arrange it how you want it.

Make the white background layer active, use your crop tool and click on the icon at the top "snap crop rectangle to" and click on the center one "layer opaque" then click on your avatar to crop.

Still on the white background layer, go to selections, select all, modify, select selection borders, change the width to 2, add a new raster layer at the top, flood fill with the same color you used on the tag.

Add a drop shadow.

Add your copyright info, and your name/initials and save.

Show off your tags!

Plugins: Filter Factory Gallery B Cut Glass

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white background.

Open frame 1 copy and paste as a new layer, image resize by 25%.

Click inside the frame with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 4.

Open paper 2, resize by 25%, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected and drag the paper below your frame.

Open the close up of your tube, copy and paste as a new layer.

Duplicate your tube, hide the top one, drag the original below your frame. Use your eraser to erase the parts that hang over the bottom part of the frame. Deselect and add a drop shadow.

Unhide the top tube, erase the parts that hang over the bottom of the frame. You don't have to be real careful because the bottom tube will show. This way it's easier to delete the bottom part without having to go pixel by pixel.

Open the heart element, resize by 20%, rotate to the left by 16.

Open paper 2, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it so it is just above your white background layer resize by 16%.

Make the frame layer active. Selections, select all, float, defloat, invert. Take your eraser tool, make the paper your just added and erase everything outside of the outer edges of your frame, deselect.

Adjust blur, gaussian blur by 20.

Apply filter factory gallery B cut glass with the settings at 49 on top 50 on the bottom. Resize by 110% and drop the opacity to around 60.

Open the mesh, resize by 20% copy and paste as a new layer, arrange it to the top left, drag the layer down so it is just above the background we just made. Duplicate, mirror, flip. Merge both of the mesh layers together and add a drop shadow.

Open flower 3, resize by 20%, copy and paste as a new layer, free rotate to the right by 70. Arrange along the bottom of the frame, drag this layer below the heart layer. Duplicate.

On the duplicate flower, resize by 80%, free rotate to the right by 15. Add drop shadow to both flowers.

Open the leaves, resize by 16% and rotate to the right by 83 and add a drop shadow.

Add your name, copyright and credits as needed.

Crop, resize and save.

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white background.

Open element VJ_Frame, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 70%

Click inside the frame with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 5.

Make the background layer active, open paper 12, copy and paste as a new layer, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave activated.

Open your closeup, mirror, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange how you want it, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate your tube, and on the duplicate layer, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3. Change the blend mode to soft light.

On the original tube layer, adjust hue and saturation, change both to 0. Now change the blend mode of this layer to hard light, drop the opacity to 65, add a drop shadow.

Add a drop shadow to your frame layer.

Open the bloody bling element.

Make the background paper layer active, selections, select all, float, defloat. Copy and paste your bling layer and resize by 70%. Selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Drop the opacity to about 70-75%. Make sure it is below both tube layers and above the background layer.

Add whichever elements you like. I used the following & added drop shadows if needed:

Moon 3 resized @ 45% - place below frame background to top right

Cemetary resized @ 60% place just above frame layer across bottom

Demon skull resized @ 60% place above cemetary layer on left side

Spiderweb resized @ 30% place above frame on top left side

Cross banner resized @ 45% place above frame on top right side

Broken heart resized @ 25% place above cemetary on bottom right side

Open a paper of your choice, copy and paste as a new layer. Drag this layer down so it is just above your white background layer.

Open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. Delete the mask and merge group. Resize by 88% and drop the opacity to around 80.

Add your name, copyright and credits, resize/crop as needed and save!

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white.

Open Red Ribbon 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 30%. Click inside it with your magic wand. Selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open Red Paper 5 (it's actually cream colored, but it's in with the reds) Copy and paste as a new layer above your white background layer, resize by 30%, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard.

Leave selected and open a close up of your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange how you want inside the ribbon frame, selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

If you are using the same one as me, copy merged, then paste as a new image, then mirror it, then copy it again and paste it inside the frame. I had to do the extra step because there were several layers to the tube and I couldn't just mirror it and copy.

Duplicate the tube and on the top copy, adjust blur, gaussian blur 3, then change the opacity to soft light. On the bottom tube, apply Xero Radiance with the default settings, change the blend mode to luminance (L) and add a drop shadow.

Add a drop shadow to the ribbon frame.

Copy and paste your full sized tube, arrange it on the right side of the tag. Resize if needed, add a drop shadow.

Open red paper 3, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it down so that it is just above your white background layer. Layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in your drop down menu and click ok. Delete the mask in your layers palette and merge group.

Now add whichever elements you like to your tag, resizing and adding drop shadow as needed.

Add your text and credits, crop, resize and save.

It's Winter Down Under

I thought since in some of the forums I'm in, many of the members are in the winter months now, while here in the States it's summer, I'd do a winter tut for them. It must stink seeing all these nice flowery pretty summer tags and tuts in the middle of winter! lol So for all my friends in cold winter places, this is for you! :)

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white.

Open snowball frame one, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%.

Open snowflake frame one, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%, arrange it over the snowball frame, add drop shadow.

Open diamond frame 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%, arrange it over the snowflake frame, add a drop shadow.

Click inside the snowball frame layer with your magic wand.

Selections, modify, expand by 3.

Open paper 22, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 60%. Selections, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected and drag the paper layer down below your snowball frame.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer. Arrange in the frame how you want it then duplicate it. Close the duplicate for now.

Make sure the original tube is below the snowball frame layer, take your eraser tool and erase the parts hanging over the bottom of the frame. Deselect and add a drop shadow to the tube and the snowball frame layer.

Unhide the duplicate tube, drag it above all 3 of the frame layers. Erase the bits that hang over the bottom of the frames. This way you don't have to erase the 3 frame layers where they go over the head area of the tube!

Add whichever elements you'd like to your tag. I used the following elements with a drop shadow added to each one.

Branch 5 element resize by 80% rotate to the left by 90

Cluster element resize by 80%

Curled ribbon 2 resize by 60%

Arrange these along the bottom of the frames.

Poinsettia cluster 1, free rotate to the right by 17 drag it just above the white background layer.

Scatter diamonds layer. Open up and take your selection tool and draw around the diamonds on the top right side. Copy and paste as a new layer into your tag. Arrange on the top left. Duplicate, image mirror. Merge these two down together, duplicate and flip. Merge these two layers down together, then drag that layer down so it is just above the poinsettia layer.

Add your name, copyright and credits as needed.

Crop, resize and save.

Garvey Diva

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Opposites Attract Lovey by Shani of Wicked Princess Scraps. You can find the stores she sells at shown on the top left side of her blog.

Font of choice, I am using Impact for the word Diva and Honey Script Semi Bold for my name.

Open a new canvas 650 x 650 white.

Open the scalloped frame element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 65%. Add a drop shadow.

Open the heart wreath frame, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 55%. Click inside it with your magic wand, make sure you click in the little parts around the outside edge, get in between all the vines, make sure you either hold down the shift key while doing so or make sure the mode on your magic wand is set to add (shift) then modify, expand by 2.

Open paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer, selections modify, invert, click delete on your keyboard. Drag the paper between the two frame layers and leave it selected.

Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer and arrange it where you want it in the frame. Duplicate the tube and hide the duplicate for now. Drag the original under your wreath frame and erase the bits that hang out of the bottom. Deselect and add a drop shadow to your tube and wreath frame.

Unhide your duplicate tube, drag it above the wreath frame layer. Erase the bits that hang over the bottom. This way you have her head above the frame and you can erase the parts on the lower part without having to spend a lot of time erasing tiny bits of frame at the top or her on the bottom. This works really well when you have tiny little parts to erase.

Open up the elements you want to use, resize as needed and add them to your tag, drop shadow on each layer. The ones I used are as follows:

Makeup box resized at 45%

Makeup resized at 25% mirrored

Perfume bottles resized at 25%

Shoe resized at 25%

Lipstick resized at 25%

Open a paper, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it down just above the background layer, open your mask. Apply mask by going to layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down menu, click ok. Delete the mask and merge group.

Add your name, any other text you'd like, copyrights and credits as needed.

Beach Day Mermaid

Drop shadow throughout is 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.

Open a new image 650 x 650 white.

Open frame 1, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 35%.

Take your magic wand and click inside all the little areas between the sticks, and in the big middle part, selections, modify, expand by 5.

Open paper 3, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 35% three times, selections invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect and drag it below your frame layer.

Open the ships element copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 20% then by 40%, add a drop shadow, I used 2, 1, 70, 5. Move the ships over near the top left side of the frame so it looks like they're floating in the water.

Duplicate the ships, mirror and drag down a little lower in the water and to the right.

Open the bottle element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 20% then again by 30% add drop shadow move near bottom left side of frame.

Open your tube, copy and paste to the right side of your frame. If you are using the same tube as me, mirror it and then resize by 65% add a drop shadow.

Open paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 20% then by 75%, drag below your frame layer.

Take your selection tool set on rectangle, make sure you are on your paper layer, Takeand select the top 2/3 of the paper, so that it's just a little bit above where the stick goes across the bottom of the frame. Click delete on your keyboard.

Take your eraser tool set on round, hardness at 8, step 1, density at 100, thickness 100, rotation 0, opacity 100. Run your eraser around the edges of the sand to make it look wavy/irregular around the edges. When you get something you're happy with, drop the opacity down to about 60.

Open the chest, resize by 25% then by 60%. Move to the bottom left of the frame, add drop shadow.

Do the same with the barrel.

Open the glitter, copy and paste as a new layer, reize twice by 45%, drag down below your tube, on the sand, duplicate and mirror.

Open the fish charm, resize by 20%, then by 60%, arrange on the top left side of frame.

Open the lantern, resize by 15%, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the bottom left side with the chest and barrel, add drop shadow.

Open flower 2 element, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 25%, arrange on top left side of frame, drag below fish charm layer

Add the pearls element, resize by 15 then by 80% drag it below the lantern but on top of the chest on the left side.

Open some of the shells, resize as necessary and arrange around the tube.

Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, resize by 25%, drag it just above the background layer, open the mask, apply mask by going to layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box and click ok. Delete the mask and merge group. Duplicate and merge again.

Add your name, copyright and other credits as needed.

Open your template, shift D to duplicate. delete raster 5 layer (credits) and raster 9. Note: if you are using different papers than me, you might want to leave raster 9 til the end and decide if the dotted lines look good over the paper you have chosen to use.

Since it's pretty large, I like to resize my template to start out, so I resized it to 600 x 456 then changed the canvas size to 650 x 650.

Make raster 3 layer active, click on it with your magic wand. Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, make sure you are on the paper layer, click delete on your keyboard. Selections invert again, selections modify, expand by 5, add a new raster layer below the paper layer, flood fill with a pink from the paper. Deselect.

Add noise to the frame layer, uniform, monochrome checked 75%. Add a drop shadow. Delete the original layer.

Add papers to the following layers the same way as above. Make sure to delete the original raster layers as you go along.

Copy of raster 3 using paper 5

Raster 6 using paper 7, add a drop shadow.

Raster 2 using paper 10 resized by 73% add drop shadow

Raster 4 using paper 13 add drop shadow

Raster 1 and copy of raster 1 using paper 14

On raster 7 and raster 9, add the same noise setting you did on the outside oval frame and add a drop shadow.

Open your tubes, go back and select the left side small square layer by going to selections, select all, float, defloat, invert. Copy and paste one of your tubes over the square, arrange how you want, click delete on your keyboard. Do the same for the other square on the other side.

Change the blend mode of these tubes to luminence (L)

Copy and paste your full size tube, arrange in the middle of the tag, add your drop shadow.

Open the bead splatter element, copy and paste as a new layer, drag it down so that it is just above all the oval layers in the middle.

Copy and paste various elements that you like, resizing and adding drop shadow as necessary.

I used:

Candybox resize by 25%

Birthday cake resize by 25%

Chococupcake resize by 20%

Heartcupcake resize by 28%

Cafecup resize by 20%

Tag 3 resize by 45%

Chocohearts resize by 75%

Cherry resize by 20%

Strawberry resize by 20%

Balloons resized by 45%

Choco4 resize by 15%

Choco2 resize by 15%

Open paper 11, copy and paste as a new layer, drag down so it is just above your background layer. Open your mask, layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in the drop down menu and apply. Delete the mask and merge group. Drop opacity to 60%.

Open up the letters you need for your name using the alphas provided in the kit, resizing as necessary.

Crop, resize and save!

Rainy Day Love Letters

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Love Letters by Farrah at Designer Scraps.

Open the template, shift D to duplicate, close the original. Delete the following layers: credits, word art, and word art 2.

(optional step) Resize to around 600 x 600 then change the canvas size to 650 x 650. I just do this so that I'm not resizing my tube a lot, so that the tag itself is closer to what I like it in size. If you want to just increase the canvas size and resize the whole thing at the end, that's fine too.

Flood fill your background with white to make it easier to see what you are doing.

Make your blk circle top layer active, click on it with your magic wand. Open paper 3, resize by 30% then by 65%. Copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, make sure you are on the paper layer, and click delete on your keyboard. Delete the original layer.

Do the same using various papers for the following layers: blk circle bottom, dk grey square top and bottom, resizing the papers as needed.

Click on the pink oval layer with your magic wand, add a new raster layer and flood fill with #d6c59c. Add/remove noise 75% uniform monochrome checked, add a drop shadow.

Click on purple oval with your magic wand, open paper 9, resize by 30%, copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, click delete on your keyboard, leave selected. Open your tube, copy and paste the close up as a new layer, arrange inside the oval layer to the left side, click delete on your keyboard.

Change the blend mode on your tube to screen. Delete the original oval layer.

Click on the green square layer with your magic wand, add a new raster layer, flood fill with #9676cd, apply penta dot and cross with the default settings, mirror your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer, selections invert, click delete on your keyboard. Deselect.

Duplicate your tube, on the top layer, gaussian blur 3, change blend mode to soft light. On the bottom layer, apply Xero Porcelain at the default settings, drop the opacity on this tube to about 60.

Delete the original green square layer.

Click on grey square right, add a new raster layer and flood fill with #9676cd, mirror your tube back to how it was originally, copy and paste as a new layer and arrange it in the square, selections invert, click delete on your keyboard, deselect and delete the original layer.

Apply Xero Radiance at default settings drop the opacity to 70.

Apply drop shadow to all shape layers.

Copy and paste your tube, resize if necessary, add a drop shadow. If you are using the same tube as I did, I resized mine by 85%.

Open some of your flower elements, copy and paste and resize as needed and arrange them over the top of the tag.

Open ribbon 2 element, resize 3 times by 50%, rotate to the left by 90 and mirror, drag it under the flowers and add drop shadow.

Do the same with ribbon 1 element, drag it between the diary and basket layers.

Open the bird element, resize 3 times by 50, arrange near the top right, add drop shadow.

Open the basket, image mirror, resize by 50 twice, copy and paste as a new layer, add drop shadow.

Open the diary, resize 3 times by 50, copy and paste drag below basket layer, add drop shadow.

Open jar element resize 3 times by 50, copy and paste as a new layer, drag below basket layer, add drop shadow.

Open tag element, resize same as above, copy and paste move to the top of the tag.

Open paper 10, copy and paste as a new layer, just above your white background layer, open your mask, go to layers, new mask layer, from image, find your mask in your drop down menu, apply it, delete the mask layer and merge group. I resized mine by 110%.

Add your name, copyright and credits as needed. Crop, resize, and save.

Girls Night Out

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, close the original. Delete the copyright layer, pink rectangle top and green rectangle top.

Resize to about 585 x 585 or 600 x 600 pixels then adjust canvas size to 650 x 650. Flood fill the background layer with white to make it easier to see what you're doing.

Fill all the background circles and rectangles (except the top green square one) by clicking on them with your magic wand, opening the paper, copy and paste as a new raster layer, selections, invert, make sure you are on the paper layer, and click delete on your keyboard. Add a drop shadow and then delete the original layers.

If you want to add a frame to your layers, instead of adding a drop shadow, keep them selected, do selections invert, modify, expand by 4 or 5 pixels, add a new raster layer below your paper layer flood fill white, add/remove noise, uniform, monochrome 75, deselect and add a drop shadow to the frame layer.

On the top green square layer, fill with a paper as you did above, but leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer. Arrange it how you want it and then use your eraser tool to erase the bits that hang over.

Add whatever elements you like, resizing as necessary. I used the following elements:

Banner - resized 35% - placed over top of tube layer - added drop shadow

Boots - resized by 20% - placed over banner on right side -added drop shadow

Fan - resized by 20% - rotate to left by 15 - placed over banner on left side -added drop shadow

Waterpaint Rose - resized by 20% - placed over top left corner of top square layer, drag below tube layer

Pearl Blossom - resized by 28% - placed over top left side of top square layer, drag Waterpaint Rose layer

Double tag - resize by 35% - drag below fan layer.

Add your name to the tag, put it on the double tag element.

Open a paper, copy and paste just above background layer. Open your mask, layers, new mask layer, from image, find the mask in the drop down box, click ok. Find the mask in your layers pallette and delete it. Merge group the remaining two layers. Resize by 115%
