Song of the Sea

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Arthur Crowe which you need a license to use.  This particular tube is a forum exclusive made for the ACDiva forum.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit Melody of the Sea by Designs by Sarah, available at Pimp My Tags With Scraps.

Font of choice, I am using Carpenter Script

Mask: Gemsmask172 from Gems Taggin Scraps

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Some things that are done over and over I am going to abbreviate as follows:
O/C/P = Open copy and paste an element or paper
C/S/I = Click inside with magic wand, selections, invert


Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 1000 with a white background. 

O/C/P paper 10 apply your mask

O/C/P arch, resize 75% pull slightly to the left

O/C/P boat, arrange to the right of arch

O/C/P fish 2, arrange behind the arch
O/C/P plant 7 arrange in front of the arch
O/C/P plant 11, resize 55% arrange over top edge of ship
O/C/P your tube, arrange it in front of everything
O/C/P bubbles resize 55% arrange over ship
O/C/P chest, resize 40% arrange on left near arch
O/C/P sand2 arrange underneath tube
O/C/P dolphins resize 40% arrange on top left
O/C/P fish 5 arrange in the middle of the tag by arch & ship, below the bubbles layer

O/C/P swirls 1, resize 40% arrange in front of ship

O/C/P string ray, resize 40%  arrange on bottom right

O/C/P  flower, resize 45% arrange in front of mermaid,

duplicate, resize by 75% arrange slightly left

O/C/P sea plant 1 resize 45% arrange in front of chest

Crop and resize

Add your copyrights and credits as needed

Add your name and save!
