Hope





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac, (2013 Angel) which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit called Pink Aware by Misty Lynne Creations  
available at Scrap Candy

Font of choice, I am using Dollie Script

Plugins: No outside plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show. 



Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background
open element 16 copy and paste as a new layer  rotate right 90
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 4 copy and paste as a new layer 
click delete on your keyboard and deselect

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 55% arrange so it looks like she's 
sitting on the bottom portion of the frame

Now the elements:
element 34 resize 55%  arrange on bottom right of frame
element 53 arrange on top right
element 9 resize 45% arrange on bottom left
element 21 resize 60% arrange on bottom left
element 22 resize45%  arrange on bottom left
element 4 resize 40%  arrange on top left
element 14 resize 40%  arrange on top right
element 48 arrange across top, behind frame & paper, duplicate & drag down

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

November Rain





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Tony Tzanoukakis which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit called Fall Splendor by Bookworm Dezines
available at Scrap Candy 

Font of choice, I am using South Beaches 9

Plugins: No outside plugins used
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background
open element 38 copy and paste as a new layer 
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open a new raster layer and make sure you are on that layer
open  paper 13 copy and paste paper into selection. Leave selected
Open your tube, copy & paste as a new layer, resize 70%
arrange in frame and erase bits you don't want hanging out of the frame

element 58 arrange and right between tube & frame
element 37 resize 45% mirror & arrange on bottom left
element 16 arrange across bottom
element 34 resize 40% arrange over the bottom of the tree on the right
element 15 arrange on left, duplicate, merge together, duplicate, mirror & flip

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Dead Sexy





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Ismael Rac, which you need a license to use.
This is one of the tubes he's revamped to have a Halloween layer, called 2013 Vintage Girl 2010 Revamp

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Beautifully Dead, a PTU kit by Toxic Desirez
available at Scrap Candy  

Font of choice, I am using Rat Infested Mailbox

Plugins: Eye Candy Gradient Glow for text

open your tube copy and paste as a new layer resize 65%
then erase her legs and place her in the middle of the canvas


Now we'll place our elements
Tombstone resize 45% arrange slightly to the left side of the tube
Thorned heart & rose resize 40% arrange to the right of tombstone
skull 2 resize 40% arrange to the left of tombstone, and slightly above
Eye Skull resize 40% arrange on the right just above heart & roses
Hand resize 30% arrange in front of tombstone
Splatter arrange behind everything
spider resize 20% arrange on tombstone
Heart resize 40% arrange behind skull eye, duplicate & mirror
Gumball machine, resize 25% arrange behind skull eye

crop and resize

add your text and save

To The Moon



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac, which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using To the Moon by Evol Angel Scrapz, available at Scrap Candy.  

Font of choice, I am using Zamrud & Khatulistiwa

Plugins: Alien Skin Eye Candy Gradient Glow (optional for the font)

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 600 x 250 

Open paper 8, copy and paste as a new layer.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 85% if you're using the same one as me.

Open grass 2, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the bottom left.

Open cloud, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on top right.

Open beads & flowers, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange on the bottom left, erase any bits that go past the top of your tube

Open butterfly, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 20%

Click on your white background layer in your layer palette,
click on your crop tool, and at the top click "snap crop rectangle to" and pick "layer opaque"

double click on your tag.

Still on the white background, selections, select all, modify, set selection borders
check both sides and set it at 4.
Add a new raster layer at the top and flood fill with a color from your kit or tube
then deselect

Add/remove noise, uniform, monochrome checked, 25

Add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Time Blossoms



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Keith Garvey, which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using  Blooms, a PTU kit by Bookworm Dezines

Font of choice, I am using Scriptina


Plugins: No outside plugins used

Let's get started!

Open element 46, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 85%

Click inside the frames with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 4
selections, invert,
Open paper 14 , copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the frame, 
click delete on your keyboard. Leave selected.

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the right 
side of the frame, erase the bits that hang out on the bottom.

Add the following elements, check my tag for exact placement:

Element 29, resize 50%, arrange on right, duplicate, mirror
Element 14, resize 65%, arrange on left, duplicate, mirror, rotate duplicated layer left 8
Element 23, resize 65%, mirror, rotate left 8, arrange near bottom, duplicate, drag up
(erase bits of stem that show at the bottom)
Element 24, resize 30%, arrange in bottom middle
Element 33 resize 45%, arrange between frame & paper on left, duplicate, merge down
Element 45, resize 45% arrange over frame
Element 35, resize 30% arrange on left
Element 49, arrange just on top of the tube & under the flowers layers along bottom

Open paper 13, copy and paste as a new layer, apply your mask
resize by 85%

Crop & resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Harlot



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Harlot by Gemini Creationz available at Scrap Candy 

Font of choice, I am using Scriptina

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 with a white background

Open element 22, copy and paste as a new layer
Click inside it with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 3, invert
Open paper 11, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, drag this layer below the frame layer, leave selected
Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize if needed 
If you're using the same tube as me, resize by 80%
Erase the bits that hang below the bottom of the frame, deselect.

Add the following elements checking my tag for exact placement:

element 6
element 7 resize 60%, duplicate & mirror
element 38, duplicate, mirror
element 60
element 53, resize 55% rotate right 20
element 55, resize 55%
elemetnt 52 resize 45%

Crop & resize
add your copyright and credits
add your text and save

Steampunk Love


For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Arthur Crowe which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Steampunk Love, a PTU by Scottish Butterfly Creations


Font of choice, I am using Carpenter Script

Mask: WSLMask 84

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 with a white background

We're going to start with our elements first and build a frame. 
Use the following and check my tag for placement reference.

Element 51, place across the bottom
Element 30, place over element 51, near the bottom of it
Element 57, place on the right, below the other layers but hanging out on the right side
Duplicate and mirror element 57

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the middle of the frame, erase any bits that hang out where you don't want them.

Element 35, arrange on left, duplicate & mirror, lower the one on the right just a little bit
Make sure to drag this layer below the others in the layer palette
Element 3, resize 45%, arrange on left
Element 13, resize 45% arrange on left

Open paper 1, copy and paste as a new layer, just above the white background layer
Apply your mask

Crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Party in the USA



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Party In the USA a FTU kit by Sweet Tooth Studio, available at Scrap Candy 


Font of choice, I am using BodieMF Flag

Plugins: Xero Radiance, Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open your template, shift D to duplicate it and close the original.
Delete Raster 1 layer & raster 11

Change the canvas size to about 900 x 900 or 1000 x 1000 depending on how much room you like to have to work around in.

To fill the layers with papers, make the layer active in your layer palette, click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert,
open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.
Deselect and delete the original raster layer of the template.

To fill the layers that have noise on them (raster 10 & copy of raster 10) you will have to make it active in your layer palette, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, then go ahead and copy and paste your paper and click delete on your keyboard.

I used the following papers on the following layers:

Copy 2 of raster 2, Raster 8, & raster 4, use paper 5
Raster 3, use paper 2
Raster 6 & copy of raster 2, use paper 6
Raster 5 & raster 2, use paper 4
Raster 7, use paper 8
Raster 9 & copy of raster 9, use paper 10

Raster 10 & copy of raster 10, use paper 6
add noise to these two layers, monochrome, uniform, 100

Add your main tube and arrange in the middle. Resize it by about 60% if you are using the same one as I am

click on one of the front square layer (raster 9 or copy of raster 9 layer that you filled with paper 10)
selections, select all, float, defloat, invert.
Copy your tube and paste it into the frame, arrange it where you want, click delete on your keyboard.
Deselect. Duplicate the tube, on the top layer, blur, gaussian blur 3, change the blend mode to soft light.
On the bottom layer apply Xero Radiance with the default settings.

Do the same for the other square layer on the other side.

Now just add your elements. Check my tag for exact placement.

Element 20, resize 95%
Element 22, resize 75%
Element 25, resize 55%
Element 16, rotate right 90
Element 14
Element 5, resize 45%
Element 23, resize 65% rotate right 90


Crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save 

On my name I used background #4364a4 foreground #ab2315,
then apply gradient glow with a width of 5 and the color set on white

Liberty For All


For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit by Bookworm Dezines called Liberty For All 
which is available at Scrap Candy.

Let's get started!

Open your template, shift D to duplicate, delete Tracy.F Designz layer

Resize it so the longest end is 600 pixels wide, it will be about 600 x 402 pixels (just make sure that lock aspect ratio is checked and it will automatically resize the height the same proportions as the width)

Resize the canvas to about 850 x 650 so you have room to work.
Add a new layer, flood fill it white and send it to the bottom, just so we can see our work better.

To fill the layers with papers, make the layer active in your layer palette, click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert,
open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.

Fill the following layers with these papers:

Circle: paper 12
Square 1: paper 5
Square 2: paper 5
Square 3: paper 9
Square 4: paper 6

Add your tube, if you use the same one as I did, I resized mine by 50%

Now we'll add our elements. Check my tag for exact placement.
Element 8 , resize it 50% and then 90%, (I used gradient glow on this set at width 10 and the colors white and #c11c20)
Element 5, resize 50%
Element 29
Element 7, resize 85%
Element 19, resize 25%, rotate left 15
element 27

Crop and resize

add your text and save

Dream of Fae



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Caron Vinson, which you need a license to use.  
She's now at CDO, when I got her tubes, they were at CILM.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Peacock Fairy, a PTU kit by Kizzed By Kelz available at Scrap Candy 


Font of choice, I am using Reisling

Plugins: Alien Skin Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Let's get started!

Open your template, shift D to duplicate and close the original.

I then change the canvas size to 950 x 850 pixels to make room for working. 
Delete Raster 5

To fill the layers with papers, make the layer active in your layer palette, click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert,
open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.

To fill the dotted lines, selections, float, defloat, invert open paper, copy and paste as a new layer
click delete on your keyboard.

I used the following papers for each layer:

Raster 3, 7, 8 paper 10
On Raster 7 & 8 I also added noise, monochrome at 100% uniform

Copy of Raster 3, Raster 4 paper 14
Raster 2 paper 9
Raster 6 paper 15
Raster 1, copy of raster 1, 9 & 10 paper 16

Open your main tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange in the middle

Add some elements. Check my tag for placement reference.
I used the following:

Grass 2, duplicate & mirror
House arrange just over the 2nd oval layer on the left
Flower Frame (arrange just over the 2nd oval layer in the middle
Dragon log
froggie, resize 45% arrange so he's sitting on the rectangle
Bell flowers bunch, duplicate,  resize one at 50% arrange on left
resize the other at 75% arrange on right
Fairy flower, resize 75%
water scene resize 60%
Dragon resize 50% arrange on right
Ladybug resize 20% arrange on flowers on the right
smoke sparkle, arrange on right, duplicate, mirror
Birds resize 35%
Blue peakcock feathers, resize 65% arrange on left
snail resize 28%
Word art  apply gradient glow width 6 change the colors so you have white and purple

Crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save
