Pirate Cove



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Derzi from Beehive Studio which you need a license to use. 
This tube is Elfie the Witch Pirate and she comes with different outfits for Elf, witch & pirate
and each outfit also has several choices to change up their clothing

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Shiver Me Timbers by Hania's Design
This kit was made to match this tube

Font of choice, I am using Pirates Bay

Mask: DVB Mask 111 by Designs by Vaybs

Plugins: No outside plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show.



Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background

copy and paste paper 8
apply your mask and merge group

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 45%
arrange  in the center area of the sand

Now add the following elements:

element 1 resize 65% mirror & arrange on bottom right, behind tube layer
element 41 resize 45% arrange to the right of and behind the boat layer
element 61 resize  45% mirror & arrange on rock, duplicate, resize 65% drag below other vine

element 36 resize  45% arrange on rock
element 42 resize  45% arrange to the left of the boat, behind the tube layer
element 45 resize  65% arrange in front of chest and boat

element 77 resize 40%  mirror & arrange on right, erase the bits that show over the tree
element 35 resize 40% arrange to the left of and behind tube
element 19 resize  35% arrange in front of and left of the brown barrel
element 29 resize 35% arrange in front of barrels

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Elfie Fae



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Derzi at Beehive Studio which you need a license to use. 
This tube is Elfie the Witch Pirate, and she has many choices for outfits, witch, pirate, fairy and you can even change up how each outfit looks as well.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Elfie 1 by Tiny Turtle Designs, which was made to
match the fairy layer of Derzi's tube

Font of choice, I am using 2 Peas Giggle

Mask: Vix Big Mask 1 by VixPSPPlugins:

element 93 resize  35% arrange behind and to the right of element 21

element 22 resize  75% arrange behind and left of element 21, duplicate & mirror
element 81 resize  75% arrange behind the other elements in the top center 

copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 35% arrange on the left

element 92 resize  55% arrange beside your tube
element 23 rotate right 72 arrange behind everything on the left, duplicate & mirror
element 97 arrange in the top center between the two flower elements

element 101 resize  35% then 90% mirror & arrange on left
element 29 resize  25% mirror & arrange at top


Add paper 13 above the white background
apply your mask and merge group

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Maddy Pumpkin



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste at Beehive Studio which you need a license to use. 
This tube is called Maddie Pumpkin and she has several layers with different outfit choices to chose from.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Fall Flowers by Tiny Turtle Designs. 
This kit is the matching kit for this layer.

Font of choice, I am using KG Manhattan Script

Mask: WSL84 by Weescotslass Creations mask links on right sidebar, part way down the page

Plugins: No outside plugins

click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, 
add a new raster layer above the white background, make sure you are on that layer
edit, paste into selection
copy and paste your tube as a new layer, selections invert,
take your eraser tool and erase the bits that hang out of your frame where you don't want them
deselect

add the following elements:
element 121 arrange on bottom right
element 104 resize  65% arrange to the left of element 121
element 69 mirror & arrange below and left of element 104
element 88 arrange on right, just above frame, duplicate & mirror, merge together

element 29 resize  20% arrange on  right, duplicate 3x and mirror some and resize some, arrange on the
left side of the frame

element 91 resize  25% arrange in the flowers on the bottom

add paper 4 above the white background
apply your mask, merge group

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Garden Melody





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste - Beehive Studio (Melody tube) which you need a license to use.  This tube has several layers with different color choices and matching assessories.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit by Tiny Turtle Designs called Melody 1 made to match this layer of the tube. This kit is really nice because it's got floral element and ocean elements so you can make your tag with either theme and have plenty of each type of element.

Font of choice, I am using Peanut Butter Cookies

Mask of your choice - a floral mask is nice for this one
(sorry, I couldn't find a name of who made this one or any TOU in this file to figure out where I got it, so I can't give you a link to get it)

open element 2 copy and paste as a new layer 
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 1 copy and paste as a new layer
click delete on your keyboard,
Open your close up tube, copy and paste as a new layer arrange in the frame, click delete on your keyboard
change the blend mode to Luminance(L) drop the opacity to around 45
deselect
 Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 60%

 Add the following elements
element 10 arrange behind tube on left
element 9 arrange behind element 10 on the right
element 21 resize  45% arrange by the tube on the bottom

element 24, mirror, rotate left 30 arrange on left side, erase the curly part at the bottom,
mirror, merge the 2 together

 element 4 arrange at top below the blue leaves layer
element 102 resize  60% arrange on top right, duplicate & mirror
element 66 resize  55% arrange on bottom right, below the leaves, rotate right 20
element 166 resize  60% arrange below element 66 and slightly to the right
element 28 resize  45% arrange by tube at the bottom
 element 142 resize  35% arrange by barrel
element 25 resize  35% mirror arrange on bottom right
element 29 resize  20% arrange over little bird cage
 element 7 resize  35% rotate right 20 arrange so it looks like they're coming out of the basket
element 57 resize  30% arrange at the top in the flowers

Ocean Melody





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste - Beehive Studio (Melody tube) which you need a license to use.  This tube comes with several layers for different color choices and to add or remove accessories.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using the matching kit for this tube layer, Melody by Hania Design

Font of choice, I am using Into The Wild

Mask: WSL Mask82
Plugins: No outside plugins

Add the following elements 
element 84  arrange across the bottom under your tube
element 24 resize  65% arrange on right side of frame, below tube layer
element 80 resize  85% arrange on left side of frame, duplicate, resize 70% drag to the right side
element 20 arrange on left side below other layers, duplicate, mirror, drag up
element 32 arrange on left side under the grass layer
element 28 resize  80% arrange on top of the grass layers on the left
element 44 resize  50% arrange on bottom by the tube
element 60 resize  80% arrange behind pail by tube
element 9 resize  55% arrange behind pail layer by tube
element 34 arrange on right side, duplicate, resize 55% arrange a little below the original
element 50  arrange on left side
element 12 resize  35% duplicate arrange around the ship in the bottle element
element 31 resize  65% arrange in the leaves & grass on  right side

element 79, open it, shift D to duplicate, close the original
take the crop tool and crop out all but the top board, copy and paste to your tag
take your eraser tool and erase any bits of rope that might still be there at the bottom
resize 150% arrange at the top of the frame

add paper 7 above the white background, resize 150%
add your mask
duplicate several times until it's as dark as you want & merge them all together
resize 105%

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text onto the board at the top of the frame and save

Beach Doll

element 72 resize  45% arrange near the fence on the left

Fairy Doll





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Derzi-Beehive Studio (Fairy Doll tube)
which you need a license to use.  This cute little tube has several choices of clothing options, accessories, like gloves & cat ears, and she has a layer that is for the beach! So you can use her for fairy tags or summer tags

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Fairy Dusk by Amy Marie Kits

Font of choice, I am using Rosewood

Mask: Horseplay's Pasture Mask 27

Sexy Nurse





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste at Beehive Studio (USA Pride tube) which you need a license to use. I am using the USA Navy layer of this tube. It has several options of dresses, USA Flag, Canada Flag, USA Navy, USA Soldier, and Nurse.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Sexy Nurse by Hania Design, made to match this layer of the tube. 

Font of choice, I am using Coughy Machine

Mask: Monti's blinds 1 mask

Plugins: No outside plugins used

erase the bits that hang out of your frame where you don't want them

 Add your elements:

element 5 resize  60% arrange on bottom right, in front of hospital sign
element 92 resize  45% arrange between kit and hospital sign on bottom
element 25 resize  25% arrange to the left of the kit

USA Nurse



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste at Beehive Studio (USA Pride tube) which you need a license to use.  This tube is VERY versitile, it comes with color choices for hair, a USA flag layer, a Canadian flag layer, a nurse layer, a USA Navy and USA soldier (camouflage) layers, so it will work well for a variety of tags.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a FTU kit by Wicked Princess Scraps called Adam's Heart

Font of choice, I am using Coughy Machine

Mask: Vix big mask 18

heart 1 resize  65% arrange behind clipboard and hospital
wheelchair resize  65% arrange on the left in front of the ambulance
IV resize  55% arrange to the right of the wheelchair
jar resize  65% arrange in front of wheelchair and IV
pill pack resize  35% arrange to the left of the jar
syringe resize  35% rotate left 90 arrange in front of jar & pill pack
kid 8 resize  40% arrange at the end of the bed
bear resize  40% arrange at the end of the bed
pill bottle resize  30% arrange between bear & kid 8
love pills resize  30%  rotate left 20 arrange to the left of the other pill bottle

Set your background on your color palette to #b40000 and foreground to white
set the gradient to linear angle 45 repeats 4
add a new raster layer above the white background, flood fill with the gradient
add your mask

Firecracker Goldie





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, July Celebration by Tiny Turtle Designs.
This kit was made to match several tubes of Ninaste and Derzi at Beehive Studios, and it's great for all your 4th of July tags.

Fourth Of July Template 1 by Melissaz Creationz

Font of choice, I am using Animated


Plugins: Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow

Let's get started!


Open your template, shift D to duplicate and close the original
Delete the following layers: Raster 3, Raster 12

I resized the canvas by 800 x 800 pixels to make a little working room.

Fill the layers with papers, to do this make sure the layer you want to fill has been clicked on in your layer palette.
Click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, modify, invert, open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer,
click delete on your keyboard.
Delete the original template layer

Some layers you may just want to flood fill with a color from your kit. To do this, click on the layer in your layer palette, add another raster layer above it,
click inside the shape with your magic wand, and flood fill it with your color
Delete the original template layer

Fill the following layers with papers or colors (I listed them in order from the bottom up)
Raster 2 use paper 78
Copy of Raster 2  use paper 78
(Dark Grey Rectangles) Merged use paper 12

(Light grey rectangles) Merged use paper 16, add noise using the following settings:
add/remove noise, add noise, random, monochrome, 50

(Stars) Merged use paper 10 add a gradient glow, width 3 in white
Raster 5 use paper 34
Raster 11 use paper leave as is
Raster 7 use paper 28
Raster 8 use paper 28
Raster 9 use paper 28
Raster 4 use paper 16 add the same noise settings to this layer

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 55% arrange in the center of the template
 
 Add the following elements:
element 32 resize 20% arrange on top right

element 24 resize  25% arrange by the tube's feet, arrange below the tube layer, duplicate
drag the duplicate above the tube layer, and erase the parts that go over the tube's feet

USA Lolly



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste at Beehive Studio, which you need a license to use. 
The tube I am using out of this pack of tubes is USA Lolly. There are 3 different tubes in this pack and each one has several layers with different options on their clothing.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, July Celebrations by Tiny Turtle design.
This kit was made to match all of the 4th of July tubes at Beehive Studios. You can use it with them or any other 4th of July tube you might have.

Font of choice, I am using Peanut Butter Cookies

Mask: Dangerously Delicious Designz Patriotic Mask 4

Plugins: No outside plugins used
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

open 95 copy and paste as a new layer
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 12 copy and paste as a new layer
click delete on your keyboard, deselect

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 55% move slightly right

Now add the following
element 81 resize  35% arrange on bottom left
element 20 resize  25% arrange on bottom left
element 12 resize  25% arrange above the cakes

element 46 resize  80% arrange across the bottom below the cakes layers, 
erase what sticks out past her shoes

element 21 resize  25 % rotate left 25 arrange above & behind cakes and balloons layers
element 132 resize  35% arrange behind & below the balloon layers
element 53 resize  20% arrange at the top of the star
element 141 resize  30% arrange at the bottom in front of the tube
element 158 arrange on the rightt, below star frame and background
element 159 mirror and arrange on left, duplicate & drag down

Candy Pearl





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste - Beehive Studio (Black Pearl) which you need a license to use.  This layer is the Candy Pearl layer of the tube. This tube comes with several different color choices and different options to take away or add clothing or accessories.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Candy Pearl by Tiny Turtle Designs. This kit was made to 
match this layer of the tube by Ninaste.

Font of choice, I am using Animated

Plugins: No outside plugins used

element 144 resize  20% arrange on the left side of castle, duplicate, mirror, resize 80% arrange below original, merge together, duplicate and drag to the right

element 96 resize  80% arrange on left behind castle
element 131 resize  70% mirror, arrange on top right, duplicate, drag down

Black Pearl





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste from Beehive Studio (Black Pearl) which you need a license to use.  This tube has several color choices, options to add or remove parts of her outfit and the little whirly things she's holding. :)

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit Black Pearl by Tiny Turtle Designs made to match this red and black layer of the tube. 

Font of choice, I am using High Boat

Mask: Vix Big Mask 1

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Open a new canvas 950 x 850 pixels with a white background
open element 7 copy and paste as a new layer
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, 
create a new raster layer below the frame
open the first paper 1 (the one that is a flowery black border) copy and paste into selection

add a new raster layer under that layer
open the second paper 1 and copy and paste that into selection on the layer you just made
selections, invert, open your tube, mirror it, copy and paste as a new layer
resize 80%, arrange in the frame, take the eraser and erase everything below the frame

Now add the following elements:
element 15 resize  85% arrange behind the oval frame, erase what shows at the bottom
duplicate & flip

element 101 arrange on the left side in the middle below the other layers, duplicate & mirror
element 70 resize  65% rotate right 15 arrange on bottom left
element 24 resize  22% arrange on left side about half way up
element 26 resize  22% mirror, arrange on right side, a little over half way up
element 68 resize  25% arrange under butterfly
element 52 arrange on the right side, and then erase most of it, you just want it showing
beyond the frame a bit

copy and paste paper 31 above the white background, resize 115%
apply your mask


crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Princess Pearl




For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste of Beehive Studio (Black Pearl) which you need a license to use.  The layer I am using is called Princess Pearl and she is one of the color choices of the several customizations available for this tube. There are many layer choices that you can change colors and what clothing is on her.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit called Crazy Beautiful by Amy Marie's Kits

Font of choice, I am using Lisbon Script

Mask: Vix Big Mask 1

Plugins: No outside plugins

open paper 10 copy and paste as a new layer
click delete on your keyboard
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, arrange in frame, click delete on your keyboard, deselect
change the blend mode to Luminance(L)
Hide the white background, merge visible, duplicate,
rotate the original layer to the right 12

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 50% arrange on right
 
Now add the following elements
 element 85 arrange to the right of and behind your tube
element 48 resize  35% arrange at the base of the #85 element
element 26 arrange along the bottom of the frame
element 3 arrange on the left side of the frame

element 14 resize  80% arrange below the #3 layer and drag it up so it shows above the flowers
duplicate, resize 80%  2x, arrange a little lower on the left, duplicate, arrange a little lower on the right of the #3 flowers

element 58 mirror arrange below all the flowers on the left, I erased some parts that were over the face of the tube in the frame because it didn't look right

element 1 rotate right 30 arrange on left, below all the flower layers, duplicate
resize the duplicate by 90% erase all but the top couple sections of flowers, arrange down in the 
bottom left corner

add paper 8 above the white background
apply your mask

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Patriot





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ninaste at Beehive Studio which you need a license to use. 
This tube is called USA Pearl and she's a special layer of Black Pearl tube. For a limited time, you spend
at least $3 in the store and you can get her free!

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Patriotic Pearl by Tiny Turtle Designs which was made to 
match this layer of the tube.


Font of choice, I am using Keyboard Patriot, I set the background red, foreground white with stroke
set on 2 for my name text

Plugins: No outside plugins used
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

Open your template, shift D to duplicate and close the original
Delete the following layers: Raster 1, 6, 7, 8, 9
Change the canvas size to 950 x 850 to give yourself some room to work

Fill the layers with papers, to do this make sure the layer you want to fill has been clicked on in your layer palette.
Click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, modify, invert, open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer,
click delete on your keyboard.
Delete the original template layer

Some layers, you may just want to flood fill with a color from your kit. To do this, click on the layer in your layer palette, add another raster layer above it,
click inside the shape with your magic wand, and flood fill it with your color
Delete the original template layer

I used the following for each layer
layer 1 use paper 1
layer 2 use paper 21
layer 3 use paper 47
layer 4 use paper 40
layer 5 use paper 22
layer 10 use paper 21
layer 11 leave as is

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, resize by 50%, arrange on the right

 Now add the following elements:

element 121 resize  50 arrange to the right of your tube
erase where his feet look like they're standing on her shoes

element 32 resize  45% rotate right 90 arrange behind the tube on the bottom right
element 30 resize  35% arrange above the blue heart
 element 20 resize  25% arrange on the left side of the template's star layer
element 168 resize  65% rotate right 12 arrange above the USA
element 36 arrange on left, duplicate & drag duplicate to the right
element 75 resize  45% arrange on top right, duplicate a few times and arrange around the tag
element 83 resize  35% arrange below USA & Statue Of Liberty
element 11 resize  15% arrange just to the left of the tube on the bottom
element 12 resize  20% arrange behind and to the left of the other cupcake
element 58 resize  30% arrange behind the red cupcake
element 55 resize 30% arrange behind the blue cupcake
element 64 resize  40% arrange behind the flowers
element 63 resize  20% arrange on top right
 element 66 resize  55% arrange just above the blue star layer of the template

Sea Lovers





For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Derzi from Beehive Studios, Sea Lovers, which you need a license to use.
This tube can be used with just the girl tube, just the boy tube, or both of them together. There
are also several color choices for you to pick from. 

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit In the Kingdom of Depth by Graphics of Fantasy

Font of choice, I am using Virginia Sky

Mask: Vix Big Mask 1

Plugins: No Outside Plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

open your tubes, copy and paste both as a new layer, resize each to 65%
arrange the boy on the left and the girl on the right

element 6 55% arrange on bottom right, duplicate & mirror
element  20 arrange on bottom left, under the frame & background layer, duplicate & mirror
element 13 resize 80% arrange on the bottom in the center
element 53 resize 55 % arrange on bottom to the left
element 56  arrange above the water background, change blend mode to Luminance (L) and drop to 70% opacity
element 12 arrange just above the frame on the right

add paper 1 above your white background
add your mask
Mine was a little too dark, so I lowered the opacity to 50

Spring Boy

Mask: Boundless Bliss Grunge Mask 1 (site no longer available but she allows links to the mask)
