Little Mermaid

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzouids (Sirena) which you need a license to use.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit by Graphics of Fantasy called In the Kingdom of Depth
available at Graphics of Fantasy Store and PFD

Font of choice, I am using Scriptina

Mask: Becky_Maks023 her blog is no longer available but you can download
at the 4shared site, as she left them up for people to download

Plugins: No outsie plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show.

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background

Open frame 5 copy and paste as a new layer, resize 110%
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, add a new raster layer below the frame
open paper 1 copy and paste into selection
deselect

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer, arrange on the left side of frame

Now add the following elements

element 20 arrange below the mermaid tube on the left
element 31 mirror & arrange between the sand & tube on the left
element 26 mirror & arrange on right

element 34 resize  110% arrange below the frame layer on the right
lower the opacity to 70

element 6 resize  45% arrange by the tube's tail, duplicate, drag to the left
element 12 resize  45% arrange in front of grass by tube's tail
element 8 arrange on top left of frame, duplicate & mirror, merge together add drop shadow

element 59 resize  35% mirror & arrange on the left, just above the background paper layer
drop the opacity to 50

element 57 resize  25% arrange on right, just above the background paper layer, drop opacity to 70

add paper 2 above the white background
apply your mask, I then resized 125%, pulled it to the left, duplicated,
then on the duplicate, mirrored and flipped it and dragged that to the right and merged the 2 together.

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save
