Believe in Christmas






For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Verymany (Birthday Cake) which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Christmas Play by Amy Marie 

Font of choice, I am using Kenan & Kel

Mask of your choice

Plugins: no outside plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show. 



Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.


Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background

open 72 copy and paste as a new layer 
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 2 copy and paste as a new layer click delete on your keyboard
copy & paste your tube, resize 70% arrange in the frame, erase where the legs hang over the bottom & deselect

add the following elements, you can check my tag to see exactly where I put things
element 57 resize 50%  arrange on bottom left
element 9 resize 50% arrange on bottom left
element 4 resize 75% arrange on left
element 18 resize 45% arrange on top left
element 40 resize 45% arrange on bottom

paste paper 3 above the white background
apply your mask


crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Under the Tree






For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Verymany (Christy) which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Carolane, by Amy Marie 

Font of choice, I am using Pea Jenny Script

Mask: DVB 80

Plugins: No outside plugins
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

element 54 arrange slightly to the left of center
add your tube, resize 45% arrange in front of tree
element 25 resize 55% arrange on left side of tree
element 59 resize 55% arrange to the right of the green present
element 68  arrange between gifts & tree on left
element 22 arrange in front of gifts
element 51 arrange behind tube on right
element 69 resize 45% arrange on left of sign
element 19 resize 55% arrange to the right of the tree

add paper 13 above the white background
apply your mask

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Emo Winter






For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Verymany (Nicky) which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using  a PTU kit, Emo Winter by Amy Marie

Font of choice, I am using Skyblue Clues

Plugins: No outside plugins used
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show.

open backing copy and paste as a new layer resize 80%
open frame 1 copy and paste as a new layer resize 80%
click inside frame, selections, modify, expand 2, selections invert

open your tube copy and paste as a new layer resize 55%
erase the bits of leg that hang down too far

add the following

box resize 55% arrange on bottom in middle
Coco mug resize 40% arrange to left of box
cupcake resize 35% arrange to left of mug
penguin 1 resize 65% arrange to right of box
emobear resize 65% arrange behind mug & cupcake
devil bird resize 45% arrange on top right


crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Kelly's Christmas




For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Verymany (Kelly) which you need a license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit by Amy Marie called A Verymany Christmas  

Font of choice, I am using Dollie Script

Mask of your choice. The one I'm using is no longer available to download

Plugins: No outside plugins used

open frame 1 copy and paste as a new layer 
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 4 copy and paste as a new layer click delete on your keyboard & deselect
merge the two layers together and raise up a little higher on your canvas

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer resize 50%  mirror and arrange on the left

Open element 8, copy and paste above the frame, resize 80%

For the other elements I used the following
Tree 2  arrange to the right 
element 11 arrange in front of the tree
bag resize 60% arrange by reindeer
bear 1 resize 60% arrange behind tube, in the middle of the tag
pine snow arrange so it looks like the tube is sitting on it, duplicate & mirror
mice cup resize 40% arrange by tube
take some of the gifts and arrange them between the tube & tree
resize as needed
Cat N Hate resize 45%  arrange by tube

Copy and paste paper 15 as a new layer just above the white background
apply your mask

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

Autumn Days


and a preview of the kit I used:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of  Verymany (Autumn) which you need a SATC license to use.  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit Autumn Beauty by Amy Marie 

Font of choice, I am using CAC Shishoni Brush

Plugins: Alien Skin Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background

open element 79 copy and paste as a new layer 
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 5 copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 75% 
erase the bits that hang over the bottom of the frame
deselect

Now we'll add elements, you can check my tag for more exact idea of placement
element 32 resize 75% arrange across the frame bottom
element 105 resize 75% arrange above 32
element 18 resize 45% arrange so it's between the two grapevines
I pulled the vine layer on the right so that it was on top of the cone layer
element 50  resize 45% arrange on right, duplicate & mirror
drag the mirrored layer below the piece of wood that is across the bottom (element 32)
element 107 resize 38% arrange behind the flower and grape vines, slightly above the flower
element 37 arrange on the right, beneath the frame & paper, duplicate & mirror
element 93 arrange above the two clusters of yellow flowers
element 87 arrange above yellow flower clusters 
(and drag the actual layer below the flower layers), duplicate & mirror
I erased some of it that was sticking way up on the top and way out on the bottom
element 11 resize 60% arrange just above the frame on the left, duplicate & mirrorr
element 60 resize 40% arrange below frame, between leaf layers
element 118 resize 40% arrange above the leaves on the left, duplicate & mirror
element 119 resize 40 arrange under top left corner of frame

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save

NOTE:
For my text I used #34110e for the foreground & background
and set my stroke at 1 to make it thicker
Then I used Gradient Glow set at 3 with the color #bf6300 and then added a drop shadow

Fall Magic



For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Verymany which you need a license to use,
available at Pics for Design (PFD).  

Scrap kit of choice. I am using  Fall Magic by Amy Marie

Font of choice, I am using Scriptina - I did both foreground & background set to black, set stroke to 1 so it would be a bit thicker

Plugins: No outside plugins used
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers

element 73 arrange in front of other tree, to the right, duplicate & mirror
element 50 resize 45% arrange on right
element 97 arrange to the left of the tube
element 124 resize 45% arrange by cider barrel, duplicate twice and arrange around the tag
element 71 arrange in front of tube on the right
element 72 resize 80% arrange in front of the green grass, duplicate twice and arrange around tag
element 69 resize 30%  arrange and the right
element 96 resize 30% arrange in front of barrel
element 63 resize 30% arrange in front of harp on left
element 120 resize 45% arrange to the left of the tube and drag the layer down behind the trees
element 31 resize 45% arrange on top of barrel
element resize arrange




layer  use paper
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open  copy and paste as a new layer 
element resize arrange

Not Dead

Font of choice, I am using Take Warning

Mask of choice (sorry I closed my mask before I wrote down which I used) :(

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 50% arrange in the center of the tag
Now place elements, and you can see my tag for a better idea of the placement
element 36 resize 50% arrange to the left of tube
element 70 resize 65% arrange to the left of element 36
element 64 mirror arrange behind chest & other tombstone
element 37 mirror arrange in front of tombstones, duplicate, drag to left & mirror
duplicate a few times to fill in spaces behind & to the right of tube
element 15 arrange behind stuff on left, duplicate, resize 80% arrange to left of other tree
element 41 resize 40% arrange on trunk or the tombstones
element 4 resize 20 arrange to left
element 5 resize 20% arrange on left
element 25 resize 25% arrange in front of tube

Open paper 15, copy and paste as a new layer, apply your mask





Open a  new canvas 600 x 250 pixels with a white background
Open a new canvas 200 x 200 pixels or whatever size avatar your forum allows






layer  use paper
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open  copy and paste as a new layer 
element resize arrange







crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save
