For this tutorial you will need the following:
Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.
Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Ismael Rac which you need a license to use.
Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit by Bookworm Dezines called Liberty For All
which is available at Scrap Candy.
Tracy's Template #47 at Freebie Friends Scraps and More
Font of choice, I am using
Plugins: Alien Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow
Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.
Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.
Let's get started!
Open your template, shift D to duplicate, delete Tracy.F Designz layer
Resize it so the longest end is 600 pixels wide, it will be about 600 x 402 pixels (just make sure that lock aspect ratio is checked and it will automatically resize the height the same proportions as the width)
Resize the canvas to about 850 x 650 so you have room to work.
Add a new layer, flood fill it white and send it to the bottom, just so we can see our work better.
To fill the layers with papers, make the layer active in your layer palette, click inside the shape with your magic wand, selections, invert,
open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard.
Fill the following layers with these papers:
Circle: paper 12
Fill the following layers with these papers:
Circle: paper 12
Square 1: paper 5
Square 2: paper 5
Square 3: paper 9
Square 4: paper 6
Add your tube, if you use the same one as I did, I resized mine by 50%
Now we'll add our elements. Check my tag for exact placement.
Element 8 , resize it 50% and then 90%, (I used gradient glow on this set at width 10 and the colors white and #c11c20)
Element 5, resize 50%
Element 29
Element 7, resize 85%
Element 19, resize 25%, rotate left 15
