For this tutorial you will need the following:
Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.
Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Alicia Mujica (Dream) which you need a license to use.
Scrap kit of choice. I am using a PTU kit, Silver Bells, by Amy Marie
Font of choice, I am using Pea Lovey Dovey
Mask: Vix Big Mask 18 - by Vix PSP I no longer see set 2 on her blog,
so if you don't have it, you can use something else
Plugins: Optik Verve Labs -Virtual Photographer
I do use Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow on all my copyrights/credits layers
I do this because some forums will make a .png tag show up with a black background and then your
copyright doesn't show.
Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.
Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.
Let's get started!
Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background
open 13 copy and paste as a new layer resize 90%
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 2, selections, invert
open paper 2 copy and paste as a new layer click delete on your keyboard, leave selected
Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, resize 50% arrange in the frame, click delete on your keyboard & deselect
Set your foreground at background on white
duplicate the tube, hide the top layer, make the original layer active
selections, select all, float, defloat, apply Virtual Photographer set on Halo
deselect, unhide the top layer, adjust blur, gaussian set on 3, change the blend mode to soft light
Drop the opacity of the bottom tube to about 75
Copy and paste your tube again, resize 35% & mirror, arrange on the right
Now we'll add our elements
element 56 resize 50% arrange on the top left
element 73 resize 50% arrange below the bells on the left
element 74 resize 6% arrange on left
element 76 resize 50% arrange on the bottom center
element 30 resize 50% arrange on left under the other stuff just so it sticks out a little bit
Hide all the layers except the stuff that goes up the side of the frame, merge visible then unhide everything
Duplicate the merged layer, on the bottom one, rotate right 100
Add paper 1 above the white background
apply your mask
Drop the opacity to 60
crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save
