Prima Ballerina

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Alicia Mujica, which you need a license to use.
I bought my tube when she was at PTE but she is now an independent artist.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using Prima Ballerina, a PTU kit by Inzpired Creationz,

Font of choice, I am using Honeybee

Mask: gemsmask217 from GemsTaggin Scraps

Plugins: No outside plugins used

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 with a white background

Open frame 3 copy and paste as a new layer

Take your freehand selection tool set at point to point and go just inside the inside frame edge, once you get back around to the beginning, double click.
Selections, invert

Open your paper, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, make sure this is below your frame. Deselect

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer, arrange.
I erased the marionette strings on mine where they went above the top of the frame and over the black flowers

Open roses 1 and roses 2, resize by 50% copy and paste as a new layer,
arrange on the canvas, duplicate a few times and arrange
mirror and rotate as needed

Add the following elements, checking my tag for placement:
Eiffel tower resize 45%, rotate right 15, erase the bit that hangs over the black flower so it looks like it's going behind it

Dress form, resize 40%  rotate right 15
ballet slippers 1, resize 40%
brooch, resize 40%
swirly tree, arrange on left, drag that layer so it's between the flower layers, erase any bits that are over things you don't want them to be over, like the ballet slippers, etc
bird, resize 40%

Open paper 20, copy and paste as a new layer just above the white background, apply your mask

crop and resize
add your copyright and credits as needed
add your text and save
