For this tutorial you will need the following:
Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.
Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Arthur Crowe, which you need a license to use.
This tube, called Rock School, is coming soon to Arthur's store and should be there within a day or two of this tutorial being posted.
Scrap kit of choice. I am using Rock School by Kizzed by Kelz, a PTU kit which will be available in Arthur Crowe's store
as soon as the matching tube is also available.
Font of choice, I am using Dagobert for the "school of"
& Sick Capital Vice for the name
Plugins: Eye Candy Gradient glow (optional on word art)
Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.
Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.
Let's get started!
Open a new canvas 850 x 850 pixels with a white background
Copy and paste frame, resize 130%
click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand 3
invert. Copy and paste paper 11, paste below the frame,
click delete on your keyboard, leave selected.
Copy & paste your tube, resize 75%
erase the bits that hang over the bottom, deselect.
Add the following elements, see my tag for exact placement:
guitar
amp, resize 65%
piano stairs
cap, resie 30%
Tie, resize 30%
wordart resize 40%
Star reszie 35%
star swirl, arrange on upper left, duplicate & flip, merge down together,
duplicate & mirror
Add the words school of in dagobert and place it above the word art that says ROCK
I used a gradient glow of 4 in white on the word arts
Crop & resize
add your copyrights and credits as needed
add your text and save
