U Make Me

For this tutorial you will need the following:

Paint Shop Pro, I am using PSP X, you should be able to use any version.

Tube of choice, I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis which you need a license to use. The store I got my tube from has closed, and he now has his own independent store, which is linked above when you click his name.

Scrap kit of choice. I am using U Make Me Smile, a PTU kit by Pimp'd Designz

Font of choice

Mask: of choice
Plugins: Xero Porcelain

Just remember that my choices of papers and elements is just a suggestion, change it up and make it yours! You don't have to follow mine exactly.

Add a drop shadow of your choosing to tubes & elements throughout. I usually use 1, 1, 50, 5 unless otherwise noted.

Let's get started!

Open a new canvas 850 x 850 white background.

Open frame 4, copy and paste as a new layer.  Rotate left by 90.
Click inside with your magic wand, selections, modify, expand by 3, selections, invert.
Open paper 10, copy and paste as a new layer, click delete on your keyboard, drag it below the frame layer. Leave selected

Open your tube, copy and paste as a new layer above the frame. Arrange it, then duplicate it. Drag the duplicate below the frame, hide the copy.
Now take your eraser tool and erase the parts of the tube that are hanging outside the frame where you don't want it. I erased what was hanging below the frame and to the right of the frame. Deselect.
Unhide the duplicate copy, take your eraser tool and erase the parts that you don't want showing.
You have the bottom copy there, so you don't have to be super careful to go pixel by pixel to erase.
If you are adding a drop shadow to your tube, ONLY apply it to the bottom tube.

Now just add the elements you'd like. Look at my tag for placement.
I used the following:

Flowers 02 and 03 resize, duplicate several times and arrange around the tag
Do the same for the gems, see tag for reference
bird, resize 45%

Swarkle 1, arrange across the bottom

Use both greens, resize to 45%, the one that is sideways, rotate to the left by 90. arrange on left side

When I got done placing all the elements, I hide the frame, background and tube, and then merge visible the elements, then duplicate, on the top layer, gaussian blur 3, change the blend mode to soft light and apply xero porcelain with the default settings except blue to 0. Then unhide the other layers.

Add your paper, just above the white background, apply your mask

crop and resize
add your credits and copyrights as needed
add your text and save
